Across the pond - 03/08/2016

As a retiree I have "worn my bird friends out" asking about a spotting scope. I think combine that with my budget and this is the best of all worlds. It has a no fault lifetime guarantee, the optics are amazing.
The weight is doable, the AO (adjustable optic) is good. Just be sure you already have object (s) in the sight. The case it came in was acceptable.
The downside, the cover over the objective lens can easily come off.
Unlike Eagle optics that has a plastic cup that stays on the lens whether in use or not.

Good scope for the money - 01/27/2016

I've used this scope a half dozen times birding so far, and have found the focus knob and zoom controls very easy to use and that is important to most birders. The image clarity is very good while zooming through 40x, but at full zoom (60X) it seems less sharp.
However, it is not a $3-4K Swarovski, so for those with a limited budget, this scope us a pretty good compromise.
I've paired it with a Manfrotto Compact advanced tripod (with ball head) and the 2 are a good match: the tripod is very steady and easy to control a scope of this weight .

And dealing with Eagle Optics was as usual seamless, smooth & timely! I've bought from Eagle many times over the last 30 years, and never had a bad experience!

It's great! - 12/28/2015

It's a terrific scope for $499! I had a warranty issue that was dealt with as quickly and painlessly as possible. Yes, I would purchase it again.
