Ingenious perfectly describes the cutting-edge innovations of Swarovski's modular-designed spotting scope. With the ATX 25-60x65 spotting scope you have a 55.9 ounce, slim and ergonomically designed scope package that takes you right into the field. Zoom and focusing features arranged next to each other speed your ability to change the zoom and focus on subjects. An incredible advantage of the ATX is the option to expand your 25-60x65 scope's performance by purchasing either an 85mm or 95mm objective lens that attaches to the modular ocular. The easy-to-change modular components make transporting the scope simple since you can store the objective and ocular parts separately.

Inside the ATX spotting scope, Swarovski implements the finest optical technology to provide virtually even images with razor-sharp clarity and outlines. Improved coating technology and HD lenses set new standards for brilliance and image definition and guarantee optimum contrast in low light situations. EXCELLENT but... - 08/29/2014

by Diego from Colombia

I got this scope early in the year; I replaced my very lightweight Nikon ED50 and I have to admit this new Swarovski, even very light, feels quite heavier than the plastic case Nikon... anyways, not so heavy as other scopes in its range.
This scope delivers really nice images but not as clear as my friends' Kowa scopes; I guess it is because I have many more crystals/lenses on the way than they have (I have zoom and the ATX detachable system introduces at least 2 more glasses!), anyways, I like the powerful zoom as I work as a guide so sometimes it is about IDing a bird and not about quality of my digiscoping.
All in all, a good, very good scope. BUT the detachable system is not been what I expected... and not due to a Swarovski mistake but due to the few times I have taken the 2 pieces apart and bring them to the field to ensamble them and use the scope, it is always a bit of humidity that get caught in between the 2 pieces and of course the image is not so clear... so I wonder this would only work on a VERY dry area where you can put the 2 pieces together and no humidity will stay there...

so, have really found not very useful having a scope you can break into 2 pieces!!, if I would have thought more about it before, I would have bought a regular, non-detachable, scope... my fault.

I never owned a spotting scope before, but decided to take the chance on the Swaro. To my surprise, the eye piece arrived with a factory defect right in the bulls eye. Eagle optics exchanged it immediately with overnight shipping allowing me to take the scope along on a scheduled trip. Outstanding customer service!
This is a packable scope that breaks down into two parts, roughly 8 by 5 inches apiece. Combined with the Swaro compact traveler tripod the whole rig fits into a suitcase and weighs less than ten pounds. It's not cheap, but it's sweet. Quick to setup and easy to use. Optics are clear and sharp with natural color.
You would think Swaro would make a carrying case for its scopes, but no. I use a fishing reel case made by Allen.

ATX scope - 03/05/2013

by Robert k. from Saint Louis missouri

This is a superb optical instrument. The images are sharp throughout the whole field and the colors are accurate without any bias. The novel modular design allows easy packing and also puts the zoom and focus controls adjacent to each other on the barrel of the scope .It took me awhile to get the hang of this but it is really neat to be able to control both functions with one hand. The 65 can close focus to an amazing 7 feet.It does take a fair number of twists of the zoom control to move from minimal close focus to infinity but the focus wheel can turn rapidly. It is very easy to digiscope with the ATX.I use the TLS APo and my olympus Ep 3 to get nice shots. With that adapter and an appropriate t ring virtually any interchangeable camera can be used There is also an adapter for point and shoot cameras.Needless to say my setup is not cheap but I am very satisfied with it.
