Great Scope - 05/15/2015

by Frank A. from Michigan

I love the compactness of the Minox. It also has a sharp focus of up to 30 power. Great product and price.

Quality unit. but compact performance - 12/21/2014

by graham from mandurah. australia

If you want small ultralight and ultra compact then this unit is awesome... So for medium distance (say 100-300yrds) birds or hunting its great.
I just did a mountain hunt for Tahr in New Zealand.. Viewing at distances of 400-700yds common and also stretching out to 1000 and 1500yds My 10x50 Minox binos were stunning and my Minox MD50 spotter no where near as good, so I was disappointed. I wanted a spotter to tell me things way out.. I was addicted to the mountains and want to go back.. with the best optics but as light as possible because of STEEP ROCKY everything... a.d carrying a day pack with survival stuff is exhausting so everything must be light weight.
I think Minox has a brilliant range of products and best value. Just need to try em all.....!!! (somehow)

Worth Every Penny - 06/11/2013

by Jim D. from Bloomington, Il

I just got back from the Rifle Range and couldn't be happier. The resolution on this little spotter is outstanding. I was able to discern .22 bullet strikes at about 130 yds. Edge to edge clarity is superb. The captive Objective cover is good but the screw on eyepiece cover is great. The focusing ring is stiff but I really like that, Being able to rotate the Tripod mount makes it very easy to position. The only issue might be a short eye relief. But after all this is a compact spotter. Overall it is a very well done piece with really crisp optics. It was worth every penny.

Great little scope - 10/04/2012

by Brett from Pennsylvania

Great scope for the price. Very nice sweet spot. Focus was a little tight but did loosen up some. Not great at low light but that was to be expected. Overall very nice backpacking or travel scope.

A Winner - 06/09/2010

by Terry OConnor from CT

At first I was not sure, being used to bigger optics. But in a days time I became a convert. For its minimum size, good clear optics. Waterproof rubber coating on the focus dial slows your focusing. Better in bright light, but excellent for travel.

I am thinking about getting one for my brother. A winner.

Handy packable mini - 04/03/2010

by walt from Huson Valley NY

Recently bought a Minox MD 16-30X50 scope for those trips where I don't want to lug my Kowa 840. Mini has great clarity and good sharp focus but the small size makes for a shaker view than a full size. The size tho makes it an excellent candidate for my birding back pack and a the car. I like the captive, friction fit objective lens cover for ease of use. Eye piece cover is screw on and sturdy. All in all a good buy and worth the $$.
