Good Bush Scope - 02/03/2011

by Arnie from Houston, Texas USA

Lightweight and collapsible makes for an agile package. Important to me as a senior hiking to a sighting. For me this trumps all its possible shortcomings as an entry-level scope. What I did was to highlight in red the two sighting tits on the left side of the scope. This allows me to pre-sight and am seldom far off from finding my objective viewing. I now use the 15x45 eyepiece exclusively, although I do have a 25x eyepiece as back-up. I don't think is any longer available. Invest in the best tripod you can afford for this scope and once you lock in at 15x, you can dial-down to 45x at will.
Bottom line-I've looked to upgrade my scope package; but have yet to find a scope that offers the comparable value to pack-in-weight that the Bushnell 'Spacemaster' does. If and when I do ever upgrade, I'm thinking the 'Spacemaster' will still offer exceptional utility as a window-mount scope for in vehicle viewing. Hope this helps in your selection process. -Arnie-
