Zeiss 85mm Angled Spotting Scope Field Case

Seems a little too expensive. The case does not have snaps for the rear cover for the eye piece as shown and the carrying strap is very short. However this is the one and only cover for this

A case is a necessary accessory for the traveling scope owner. This case is a bit expensive for its intended purpose of protecting from mechanical shock. In addition, the case interferes with rapid deployment of the extensible lens hood. The hood has a useful sighting line for quickly getting on a bird, but the case makes it difficult to pull out the hood. That said, I still recommend the case for its shock protection value--it's the only choice available.

If you need to carry your scope on a hike or distance then there is nothing better than this, a bit pricy for what it is. If offers some kind of protection to minor bumps but nothing more. The front cover does not have snap closure as shown in the picture here, it is merely an elastic loop, not as easy to use as the snap in the field, but what choice do you have?
