Nikon ProStaff 550 Rangefinder

I recently purchased the Nikon ProStaff 550 Rangefinder. This was one of the best hunting purchases I have made to date, besides my bow. I had a great shooter buck in Georgia and the range finder worked great. I would recommend this product for anyone that bow hunts and wants a great and accurate finder. My bow hunting buddy had a ranger finder that was a piece of junk......needless to say, I purchased a Nikon and shot perfect out to 60 yards. My friend after seeing the great and precise accuracy bought one which has worked great for him as well........is also great for rifles. I ranged a truck, moving, at 483 yds. while in a climber tree stand.

Used it on both elk and mule deer this fall. Optics are sharp and electronics work very fast. Ranged cow elk at dawn at 350+ yds and mulies at 100 yds directly into the sun with no problem. Only complaint is the rubber eye cup is too stiff to stay folded down - it pops back in a couple seconds. This makes it hard to use with eyeglasses.

I don't have another rangefinder to compare it to, but I'm pleased with my purchase.

For the money, the Nikon ProStaff 550 laser range finder is a great bargain. Tough and reliable are two words which describes it perfectly. It's easy to use and resistant to foul weather especially during the fall and winter big game hunts.
