Another excellent Zeiss product! - 01/18/2012

by Jim from Northern Illinois

I own a pair of Zeiss Dialyt 8x30B binoculars that I bought in the 1980's, but wanted something easier to carry. I recently purchased the Zeiss 10x25 BT*P* Monocular, and am very pleased. The optics give extremely sharp images with good magnification. I haven't experienced any problem with maintaining a steady image, and as an eye glass wearer, I find the eye relief fine. I truly enjoy the superb images that the 10x25 delivers, and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Great optics in a convenient package - 12/08/2011

by Chuck from Texas

I bought this monocular so that my wife could have one of her own. We have used the Zeiss monocular extensively for everything from whale watching on Maui to following birds in our back yard. We have taken it to concerts and find that it provides excellent optics in a package that is much easier to carry than binoculars. Optics are great, even in low light. Pricey but you get you money's worth.

Monocular for the Binocular viewer - 04/07/2010

by Mike from California

Monocular viewing, for the binocular user, can be somewhat unsatisfying at first, but the experience quickly gets better with good optics like these. The objective, magnification and weight combine for significant ease of use and, consequently, a viable alternative to a pair of binos. The compact design renders this monocular relatively inconspicuous so you can feel at ease using it from the comfort of your home or just passing the time while sitting outside at a cafe in the city.

Sharp optics - 07/24/2009

by Vince from Oregon

This is a very sharp little monocular and it weighs nothing. My main complaint is insufficient eye relief for glasses. I do not recommend this to those who wear glasses. If you don't wear glasses this may be a great monocular for you. The other minor complaint I have is that the focus turns too easily so each time you take it out of your pocket you have to refocus.... a lot. The optics are top notch though.
