Just what I wanted!
Kay from Pennsylvania
I got this little beauty a few weeks ago and took it along to New Orleans. It took a little while to get used to it--it was a little bulkier than I expected, and it's a little harder to hone in on a site at first. Now, after about 3 wks, I carry it everywhere and use it all the time. It is not a one-handed operation, although I didn't find the focus mechanism as stiff as other reviewers. I stuff it into a pocket; it has great focus, magnification and light gathering capability. Very satisfied overall.
Great for walks
Jos H. from St. Petersburg, FL
Easy to carry on my walks. Now I can enjoy the wildlife while getting some exercise. The focus ring feels a little tight but that's my only complaint. It is sturdy, heavy duty, and I feel like a pirate when I use it! That's a nice thing, by the way.
monocular is great!
V from WA
We love it - so much easier to focus and find the object you're looking for than with binoculars.
For a trek
Rex W. from NW USA
Needed a lightweight but high quality monocular for a multi-week trek. Once I figured out that the focus adjustment is rather stiff and calibrated my efforts accordingly, the thing works like a charm. Resolution allowed for close-up viewing of castles, houses, animals, etc... that were well off the trail. Very happy so far.

Quality product at a reasonable price. I own a Vortex Viper
rifle scope and was quite pleased with the Night Force quality and only half the price. Once I saw the Vortex Solo Monocular I knew that I had to have it, once again at a price that suited my wallet.
It is what it is
Don N. from Flagstaff, AZ
I purchased this monocular to have something smaller and frankly less expensive than my Swarovskis on hikes with non-birding friends. This little monocular provides good glass at an inexpensive price. It definitely saves space and I don't worry about leaving it unattended. My only issue is with the focus adjustment. It is quite stiff and can barely be adjusted with one hand. Improvement on that front would be welcomed. It takes some getting use to using just one eye, but purchase this knowing you want something less than a full set of binoculars.
