I've had a chance to use this adaptor a couple of times. Absolutely recommend it. High quality, excellent optical performance, rugged build quality and, easy to use. The unit gives a very ridged coupling to the scope. While it isn't actually digiscoping, 1000mm F/L is still quite formidable. Best use in bright conditions to keep shutter speeds reasonable(f/12). All the usual techniques for high magnification photography apply here as well. You won't be disappointed.

The adapter mounted easily and held fast in the field. It does cause you to loose a lot of light and limits your field of vision within the scope. Since you have to remove the lens from your camera, you loss several options you maybe used to when photographing wildlife. I have also used Zeiss's camera adapter and find it has less light issues and at least with my Pentax DSLR camera and 40 mm pancake lens, allows for a wider field of vision. Also, since you keep your lens on, all your normal features still work. However, it is a much heavier setup than this adapter and often comes loose a little while in the field, needing more adjustments.
