I've had them for only a few weeks now and already I wouldn't change them with any others. My wife uses Swarovski's which I've tried and prefer this Zeiss product.
The focus wheel reacts very quickly from near to far. They provide an exceptional image in low light.
Zeiss HT Fantastic

I recently did some extensive field tests with several Alpha binoculars and came away with what I feel is the best bino for my needs. I use these Zeiss HT's for bird watching.
I selected the Zeiss 10x42 HT for several reasons. First, the 'feel' of holding these binoculars is just stunning. Think about it....when you are birding you have these binoculars up to your eyes, in your hands etc...the entire time you are birding. So the 'feel' is important. The overall workmanship and body of the Zeiss shows. I love the way the focus wheel is a bit enlarged and is positioned so you can easily place two fingers on the wheel to better focus. This aspect of the bino is a real seller in my mind as it is important to have fast, accurate, and sharp images when I bird.
These binoculars are excellent in low light....When I am looking at birds, many times these birds are in shadows or underneath forest canopies, both are situations where a binocular which excels in low light are needed. These Zeiss also excel when birds are positioned against harsh back drops such as in a tree against clouds or in bright sun. These bino's pull out the color of the bird.
Sharpness is critical...The HT's are as sharp as any Alpha bino. Where they are not as sharp is along the edges and I don't feel there is as much of a 3D effect as in some other bino's but that really isn't a problem. It is just something I realize is a trade-off between different brands. A buyer has to weigh what is important to them and what they will use the binos for, and I felt that having sharpness to the 'edges' , while nice..is not needed. I focus in on the bird in the middle of the binocular, right? ....not on the sides! Each Alpha brings to the table certain aspects but the HT brings excellent low light ability, sharp images, as well as overall ergonomics.
Prior to this purchase I have never had an Alpha bino...as I was always one of those birders who thought I could do just as well with a average $500 pair. Once you have the opportunity to view thru an Alpha pair such as these Zeiss, you will not want anything else. If you have no idea what you are looking for in a bino, then a subpar pair will do you nicely. But if you are into quality optics then get a Zeiss....
Zeiss Victory HT is the ultimate binocular.

Received my 10x40 Zeiss Victory HT binoculars from Eagle Optics last week and love them ! It was a hard decision choosing them over the Leica Ultravid HD and Swarovski Swarovision. I had decided to go with the Leica Ultravid HD until I checked out the reviews and videos on the Zeiss Victory HT. I took a chance and ordered the Zeiss Victory HT. No regrets at all; I love everything about them from the construction, handling ability, to the superb optics. They have no current peer in the world and are a cut above the rest, imo. A big plus is they are the better buy and have a better warranty than Swarovski and Leica also. Big thumbs up to Eagle Optics for their wonderful overnight shipping and great customer service. You will not regret ordering these binoculars from Eagle Optics.

After many binocular purchases over the years, I found I was consistently purchasing more expensive ones each time I replaced my 7-10 year old binoculars. This time I truly believe the Zeiss Victory 10x42 HT purchase will be the pair that will serve me much longer than all the others combined. The acuity is crisp, detailed and bright; truly phenomenal. These binoculars truly surpass those of my fellow birders'.
Unable to identify a small bird at twilght when all that is visable to the nake eye is movement and an outline is challenging and often impossible. The Zeiss Victory pulls every available light to make an identification possible in near impossible low light. This is a very strong feature that weighed heavily in my decision to purchase. I am NOT disappointed.
Physically the Victory is easy to grasp and focus with one hand. A must when handling a dog on leash with the other one. I use with a harness so the weight and quick access are not an issue. The eye relief cups stay locked in position so there is not a need to constantly readjust each time a view is needed.
If you consider the money spent on binoculars over time, these are a high initial investment but worth every penny. I highly recommend the Zeiss Victory HT for bird watching and general nature viewing. You will not be disappointed.

I've owned my Victory HT,s since 12/12/2012.I had waited month's for them to become available every since I first saw them advertised earlier this year. It was certainly worth the wait. They are Superb!!
I have also owned a pair of Zeiss 8x30 dialyt B since 1976 and a pair of Swarovski EL 10x42 since 1999. My new Victory HT's are a step above.I live on a river and I've used them to watch all kinds of birds and critters. They are excellent in late evening around dusk to look into the shadows. They have a very fine focus and are easily held with one hand while focusing. Try that with the competion!Quality of construction is evident when you take them out of the fancy box. They come with a nice neoprene neck strap and lens covers plus an attractive cordura case.
Granted...They ain't cheap. But if you are looking for the best your eyes deserve then try a pair of these.

I was able to use the Zeiss Victory HT binoculars during my recent trip to Patagonia, Chile in the Torres del Paine region. They are superb! I appreciated the sharpness, brightness and clarity of the HT's as I viewed the distant birds, animals and scenery. I recommend the Zeiss Victory HT binoculars without reservation.
My special thanks goes to Eagle Optics for providing the HTs in time for my trip.
