Vulture 8x56 Binoculars - 09/09/2014

by Arthur G. from Aurora, Colorado

I already had a great pair of binoculars, in the Vortex 8x42 Diamondbacks. However I wanted to get something that performed well in low light characteristics. Don't get me wrong the Diamondbacks are very good.
The Vortex Vulture 8x56 gave me that little extra I was looking for. Clear imagery sharp images, I'm really pleased with their performance. They are a heavier binocular than some might want at 39oz and at first it was a bit noticeable but I've gotten used to the extra 13oz. My wife is enjoying my Diamondbacks now.

I would recommend Vortex Optics to anyone that enjoys the outdoors whether it's birding in a thicket looking for a Green-tailed Towhee, or glassing a ridge for big game. They are an exceptional buy with good quality optics.

Compact, sharp, and bright - 05/16/2014

by Thomas A. from CO

This is the most compact 8x56 anywhere (a mere 6.6in length).
In direct comparison with the Viper HD, Monarch7, and even the Conquest HD, I did not perceive a substantive optical advantage on those more expensive models.

The Vulture having both 7mm exit pupil and HD glass offers the sharpness and brightness of $1000 8x42 models.

The extra weight (I use a harness and do not even notice) for this 56mm lens will save you at least $500.

Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it (and the fantastic Vortex customer support is the icing on the cake)

VORTEX VULTURE - 12/22/2010

by GREGORY from ALABAMA

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE. I HAVE COMPARED TO A MORE EXPENSIVE SET OF BINOCULARS AND THE VORTEX WAS JUST AS CLEAR AND BRIGHT. I WOULD AND HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS PRODUCT.
