I must confess I'm a huge fan of Vortex Optics. I currently own four pair of which none are the typical 10X42 variety. They include 12x42 Vipers, 10x50 Vipers, 15x50 Vipers, and the truly awesome 15x56 Kaibab's. The 15x50's are one of my most used binoculars, The glass is superb the physical size makes them packable for Western hunting.

I owned 15x45 Zeiss Conquest costing almost twice as much. The Vortex 15x50 are just plainly better glass with more light and better resolution. Be prepared to steady these bino's. They are high magnification but the shakes will set in if not supported with a tripod or the barrel of a rifle, stick, tree or something. By the way - they fit just right in a Badlands Bino bag.
