Everything I Read and More - Vortex HD 10 x 42 - 04/21/2012

by Susan from Fountain Hills, AZ

Did a lot of research and it certainly paid off with my purchase of Vortex Viper HD 10 x 42. My friends have been birding for 53 years and helped me pick them out. They tried them out on our first trip out to be sure all was well and couldn't say enough good things about them. That's an A+ from the professor and his wife who introduce me to Eagle Optics and birding. Keep up the great work!

best for the money - 01/21/2012

by Elkslayer from Colorado

These binoculars are as good as anything I've looked through. Definitely better than any Nikon or Leupold in this price range.

Great binocs, reasonable price - 12/23/2011

by Brolek from Sebring, FL

I use these for bird watching. The binocs provide a crisp image and good contrast in low light. The focus is fast and smooth and allows you to focus on close objects. The grips and straps feel very natural. Overall, these perform great.

Excellent Binoculars! - 09/18/2011

by Dave M. from Lenexa, KS

I recently purchased a pair of Vortex Viper HD 10x42 binoculars from Eagle Optics. I will start off by saying that I didn't expect to receive my new binoculars only two days after placing my order. Great turn around time from this dealer.

The binoculars are better than I expected. I have looked through many pairs of Swarovski's and owned some Leica's and can honestly say that for the money these binoculars have them beat. Not to say that they are better, but the closest quality binoculars that I have seen to the big names. Excellent in low light and they produce sharp crisp lines. I would recommend these binoculars to anyone.

Birder's Delight - 07/27/2011

by Richard from Sacramento, California

I ordered the Vortex Viper HD 10x42 from Eagle Optics, and another, similar pair from a well-known sporting goods supplier based in Reno, NV as a basis for comparison. While the optical quality seemed quite close between the two, the Vortex had what I felt to be superior ergonomics (thumb "depressions" for a more comfortable grip, locking diopter ring, and an overall impression of better build quality) - small differences perhaps, but worth the price differential, I thought. I'm quite happy with the quality of the optics, and secure in the knowledge of Vortex's exceptional guarantee.

Fantastic Binoculars - 06/08/2011

by Marta from Bloomington, IN

These binoculars are wonderful! They are compact and comfortable to use. The magnification has been perfect for birding at the coast and in the woods. I am very happy with them.

Vortex Viper HD 10x42 Binocular - 06/02/2011

by ah-ha from Minneapolis

I ordered these as an anniversary present for my husband. He loves them. Our son claims these binoculars "make light" because they work so well in dimmer conditions. Since we live in Minnesota, I ordered them online and they were delivered the very next day. Great service as usual from our favorite optics store!

Very happy with the HD Vortex Viper - 04/25/2011

by DM from Tampa FL

I have been pleased with these binoculars. They are bright and clear, and I have been able to adapt to them quickly. I would definitely recommend them. Although I am not an expert, I believe they are good value for the Eagle Optics price.

Vortex Viper HD 10x42 - 04/18/2011

by Elizabeth M. from Panama City Florida

I have been using the Vortex Viper HD 10x42 binoculars for birding for several weeks now and just love this product. The clarity in low light is amazing. The focus is easy and smooth to adjust. We also own the regular Vortex Viper 10x42 binoculars and were so fond of them that we wanted to try the HD version. I would recommend these binoculars to others.

Great binoculars! - 03/09/2011

by Terry C. from Southern AZ

Just received my new HD Vipers and I am amazed at the clarity and detail that they produce - especially in low light conditions. I find them extremely smooth and quick to focus. They are a serious step up from my Baush & Lombs and at a much lower price. Excellent binocs. I also purchased the Vortex shoulder strap and found the quality of it to be better than my previous strap.
