My New Favorite Binoculars - 02/23/2016

by Rick S. from Deltaville, Virginia

After 35 years, in all kinds of hostile environments, I have replaced my Leitz 8x32 Trinovid binoculars with the Vortex Diamondback 8x32s. Boy was I surprised with the quality at such a reasonable cost. The closeness in which it focuses is unreal and its ability to be so clear really stands out. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair today, you will not be disappointed!

excellent product - 01/06/2015

by Jimmy from United States

Just what we wanted in a high-quality binocular for bird watching. The Goldilocks choice - not too big, not too small, not too heavy, not too light - just right. Excellent quality, and the ultimate in a forever guarantee. And it shipped immediately and came in plenty of time for the holidays.

Great Multipurpose Glass - 11/15/2014

by Jay from South Florida

I bought the Vortex 8x32 Diamondback with a number of factors in mind. Besides the quality specs and best in field warranty, I wanted a smaller glass that would work well in the field with my bird photography as well as for occasional theater use. Because I was looking for a multi-purpose glass, the 8x32 gives me a wide field of view, is unobstructive when carrying a tripod/camera setup, and doesn't draw attention at the opera. I already had the Razon HD scope and know that Vortex stands behind their product and customer. I recently had a small rubber protective ring fall off a competitor's glass and they wanted more than the price of this optic to fix it. That wouldn't happen with Vortex. In sum, I believe this is a high quality product that serves me well when spotting birds at a distance and oboe players in the orchestra. For its small size, its a keeper.

could be better - 06/14/2012

by Sean from Albany, CA

On the bright side the construction is good, and they look like nice binoculars. However, it is hard to get a good view through these binoculars, it's hard to get the images to perfectly line up, and the image has a cloudy crescent outline at the edge of the binocular that seems like it is from the prism edge. I have let my friend look through them and he saw the same thing. I would not recommend these to a friend.
