Randy, you obviously must work for Bushnell, you poor fellow. I own a pair of Vortex 12x50 and the image quality and sharpness thru out the whole spectrum of the image is outstanding. The construction is totally solid and the light gathering is incredible, even at dusk or dawn. Plus the unconditional lifetime warranty is second to none. I'm a dentist by the way, no connection to Vortex except my binos.
Super Good Customer Service
Kevin H. from Louisville, KY
I just recently purchased a set of Vortex Diamondback 12x50 binoculars. I ended up going through 2 sets of these and sending them both back. The reasons I will say were minor for which most people probably wouldn't be bothered by. One set I could see what appeared to be a hair in the edge of the field of view on the left ocular. The second set had a small tear or cut in the armor where the eyelet sits that the binocular strap goes through. My problem I know is the fact that I have been used to and accustomed to very high end brands over the years like Leica and Zeiss so trying to settle down to a Chinese made binocular was not easy for me to do. I realize lower priced binoculars are just going to usually have more minor flawing in comparison to the top brands. The main thing I want to say and express heavily here is how very impressed I was with the customer service of Eagle Optics. They gladly took care of me on both returns. Thank you Eagle Optics for being such an up front honest company. I will definitely recommend you to any and everyone I get a chance to. I'm giving 2 stars for the binoculars I returned. But I would definitely rate your customer service as a definite 5 stars.

I sent these binoculars back and eagle optics were quick to issue a credit to my pal pal account. They are excellent. However, the binoculars disappoints. The fully multi coated lenses were not clear and sharp. In fact, I have a pair of Celestrons 12x60 binos for under 100 bucks that gave me a sharper focus. I will say that the binoculars are rugged and built to last a lifetime. Want a good pair of binoculars for under 250??? I am going to do you a favor. I collect binoculars. Get the Bushnell (yes Bushnell) legend ultra HD 10x42 binoculars. They have the new and advanced ED coating that you find on Carl Zeiss and high end binoculars!!! I used to thumb my nose at Bushnell. After all, I have owned Nikon Monarchs and Steiner night hunters! For the dollar, I am happy with my new Bushnell binoculars. Do your online homework. Almost Every owner gives theses babies 5 stars. I just did you a big favor. Thank me later!!!

First set of decent binoculars. 12X provides some great reach...at the expense of some slight shakes if trying to read smaller items...but for quick positive ID of items at a distance..fantastic.

I'm not an expert in the field of binocular evaluation, so I can only tell you that they compare favorably to my Zeiss 8x20B binoculars. To my eyes, the Vortex Diamondback 12x50 are just as clear and crisp as the Zeiss' and cost considerably less, about 45% less. To be fair though, this is not an apples-to-apples comparison, but, none the less, it is indicative of their quality. Additionally, I believe they are an excellent value for the money and have an outstanding warranty. The warranty was one of the main reasons I chose this brand over other binoculars of similar quality and price; it gives me peace of mind knowing that if I ever have a problem, it shouldn't be a problem to have it rectified.
Vortex Diamondbacks a Diamond in the Rough

I own a Viper scope and already am familiar with the quality of Vortex optics but needed to increase the magnification in my bino's. I have used Swarovski 8x30's for the past 20 years since winning them in a contest. They are awsome but I cannot afford something like that anymore. I needed something powerful but not huge for deer hunting here in the southwest. While at a hunters clinic the Vortex sales rep had a number of the high end optics and the Vortex side-by-side. Not only are my Diamondback Bino's as clear and crisp as my older Swarovski's but I was able to get them for around $300 vs. $800 or more. I have the tripod mount on them for glassing and am thoroughly impressed. I looked at the Viper Bino's and decided someday I will need to replace my Swarovski's.

Great product for money spent. Impressive optics, and clarity. Eagle was so easy to deal with and package arrived in 2 days with free shipping. I absolutely recommend both!
