Awesome view - 12/09/2015

by Pamela B. from Pennsylvania

I tried over 5 different pairs of binoculars. These are my final pair. Field of view is large, image is clear to the edges, no color distortion. I am amazed at the quality I received for the amount of money I spent. These outperformed binos costing double the price. I absolutely love the fast focus. It takes a bit of getting used to, but then I usually never lose the bird I'm viewing.

A good compact glass - 09/06/2015

by Stuart W. from Southern California

As with other Vanguard binoculars, this is a good, sturdy product. Optics are clear and sharp across the field, with good color fidelity and resolution for a glass of these specifications. The weight is sufficient to prevent shake when being held up to the eyes. The open bridge design allows hands of smaller size to comfortably fit the two middle fingers around the barrels, while resting the outer two on the bridges. The focus wheel is of the right size and rolling resistance to allow adequate speed of operation. The front lens covers are well designed and easy to open and close.

The only negative I find is the "soft" ocular click stops - they do not have a positive feel when the stops engage, sometimes requiring reverse rotation to get the right position after having overcorrected, but this is a minor point if only one person is using the glass and leaves the oculars untouched. The case is well designed but close fitting enough that some adjustment may be required to fit the glass in, which may then require some readjustment when removing it for use.

I would recommend this glass to anyone looking for one of these specifications.

Great bargain binoculars - 11/29/2014

by C.O.S. from Cape May,NJ 08204

These binoculars are a super deal at $209 after the $50 rebate. They have a crisp clear image far superior to what you would expect at this price. They are a nice fit for small hands, seem well made, have a good field of view, have a locking diopter, are light, and have a comfortable neoprene neck strap. They have objective lens covers that fit nicely and would satisfy everyone that complains about ill fitting covers on other brands. The most impressive thing is these are the third pair of Vanguard Binoculars I own and they all have had perfect collimation or alignment which has not been my experience with many inexpensive binoculars. These would make a great pair of spare binoculars but would also serve you well as your primary pair of optics.
