I have owned my Swifts since at least 2005. These binoculars are great birding glasses without fail. The most reliable glasses I have ever owned. I keep them on divider hump on the floor of my Chevy truck 24/7/365. No case, no lens covers, just there always handy all year long year after year. Pick them up, focus them and they just plain work regardless of the temperature or humidity. I don't abuse them (well maybe I do)but I don't baby them either. BTW, the eye cups twist and lock just fine.

The Swift Audubon 8.5 x 44 Porro Prism BInoculars are wonderful! I use them for both birding and amateur astronomy. Astounding clarity! When I look at even the tiniest of our spritely backyard birds, I see them so closely, that I feel I could reach out and touch them. And when I'm looking at Earth'smoon, I can make out craters and mares. Awesome! I would also like to add a note about customer service. I had a question about my binoculars, and within 24 hours, I had a cordial, informative reply! Impressive. I recommend both Eagle Optics and the Swift Audubon binoculars!

These things are light, tough, and have a fantastic wide field of view. Easy to hold and focus and almost trouble free. I say "almost" because I needed to take some hair ties and wrap them around the barrels under the twist up eyecups. They press back down to the lowest setting at the slightest pressure, so the hair bands will hold them in place. Find out where your viewing position is and lock it in with this low-tech solution. You're going to be happy with everything else.

I really like my Swift binoculars. I am using them to view wildlife and birds. The wide field of view is one of the reasons I bought them and the price was reasonable.

Clear, bright, easy to focus, comfortable to hold, and durable, durable, durable. I have used this model for the past four years through all four seasons. I have carried them on hikes, while fishing, hunting and of course birding. They have been banged, bumped, and dropped. I have carried them from the Appalachians to the Atlantic. Swift has designed a top notch, field worthy binocular.
