Extremely small and lightweight but gathering a lot of light these are fantastically portable binoculars and I wear them around all the time when outside. The resolution is great from edge to edge. I hate to be caught without my binoculars and have a bird that I want to see better and these are easy to keep handy. Drawbacks are inherent in their size: a small field of view, near focus is listed at 13 feet but was much closer for me, and they are not great in low light conditions. For more serious binoculars, when I am intentionally going birdwatching, I like to have my 8x40 pair available which gather even more light, have a bigger field of view and focus closer. I bought these at discount, as an open box display model, and found them in perfect conditon.

Another great Swarovski product - a perfect weekday companion to the fabulous 10x42 field bioculars. The 8x20s are truly compact, fit easily in a corner of my briefcase, suck up light (as do the 10x42s), are crisp to the edge of field of view, and ready for that unexpected event or sighting. Very easy to focus, extremely light.

Great binocular, lightweight (less than 8 oz.), very portable, fits in a shirt pocket. Clear optics, no distortion, small lenses but stays bright until the light gets low. Very fast service from Swarovski after it got dropped and needed to be realigned. Purchased in 1998 and still working like new. Would buy another if lost or stolen.
