Delightful! - 09/11/2014

by Clay P. from Montpelier, VT

These binoculars are delightful! They are small, light and easy to carry and use. They focus readily, and the diopter adjustment is simple and - once adjusted - remains reliably "set". They are surprisingly bright and clear for "mini-binocs" - much more so then other "high end" brands we have owned. The resolution is excellent - surprisingly close to EL 10x32's and 42's in a "side-by-side" comparison.
As to convenience, one forgets they are hanging from the neck - perfect when carrying other equipment - like a scope, tripod and equipment bag. No, they do not have "rain guards", but can be conveniently tucked into a jacket or shirt front when raining or blowing beach sand.
I am very happy with these optics. Regrettably, I will apparently have little opportunity to use them. My spouse - an avid nature photographer - always eschewed "binocs" as too much hassle to carry and use with all her other "stuff". On our first field trip after receiving the little "CL's"she tried them on and fell in love. We (I) may need another pair.
Should add that the advice and service from Eagle Optics was - as always - outstanding. I am not aware of any "on-line" retailer providing better customer service and support.

Swarovski CL pocket 8x25 Traveler Binoculars - 07/04/2014

by MS from California

I was looking for binoculars that would be light and small enough to take along on hikes. The 8 x 25 size is perfect, and the Swarovski optics superb. We went to Glacier National Park, and the binoculars were ideal for viewing mountain goats and big horn sheep high up on the cliffs. The 8x25 binoculars are light enough to carry all day. It is easy to arrange the neck strap so the binocs fit easily in the sturdy case.
Eagle Optics was very quick to answer my questions. Overall the CL 8 x 25 are terrific binoculars and Eagle Optics are quick and reliable.

Nice binos, even better service - 04/23/2014

by ParOwan from Alabama

The Swarovski CL Pocket 8x25 Binocular is too large to fit comfortably in most pockets. But their quality and light weight are likely to make them my primary binoculars. The only reason I will be carrying larger ones is if I expect to be in low light conditions. So I may still be in the market for some pocket binoculars.
My real reason for reviewing here, though, is to comment on Eagle Optics fabulous service. The binoculars arrived quickly. Over two weeks later I realized something was wrong with them. I kept having to adjust the diopter. Then I noted a rattle in the left barrel and that was why the focus kept varying. I called Eagle Optics and explained that I thought the binoculars were defective and why. The representative agreed with my analysis and promptly delivered a replacement pair and a return shipping label. This simplified the return process greatly. The new pair work perfectly. Thank you Eagle Optics. I am glad I purchased from you!
