Steiner has gained a high reputation in optics so I was optimistic when I ordered this compact bino.

Looking just from outside, everything is perfect: nice packaging, beautiful carry case (the best I've ever seen for compact binos!), and it comes with a detailed, colourful instruction booklet. The bino itself looks smart as well, stylish design, a lot of lower priced compact binos give you a "toy" feeling, but this one doesn't.

But it is the most important thing: the optics, that let me down. It has a strong glare, strongly curved FOV, and I could never get the focus right, no matter how precise I adjusted the focus and diopter (the diopter moves easily, which is not good). The whole feeling is like, wearing a pair of wrongly prescripted glasses.

I would not recommend this bino. Unless, if you just want to use it as a piece of decoration on your shelf...
