The only problem with these are the small format and the silly logo (unless you're a really big sports fan). I bought a couple pairs because I lead birding field trips and it's good to have extra binocs on hand. These are the same value of binocs that cost $20-$30 so buy these while they're sill available! These are nice 'cause they're compact but the trade off is poor performance in low light. Take care of them too because they're not the most durable.
Great for starters!

Can ten-dollar (at the present reduced price) binoculars be worth anything at all? You bet they can. I certainly have not seen anything in this price range that I would equally recommend. Sure, there are many limitations, like a somewhat yellowish cast. But these binoculars are quite sturdy, and they have a comfortable feeling about them. The slight padding prevents getting cold hands from touching metal parts. I think these binoculars could probably take some beating from being thrown around by a kid. Though they are definitely not water resistant or sand proof. They have a very fine close focussing distance, and they are perfect for little kids' hands. The double hinge allows adjustment even to the narrowest interpupillary distance. The fold-down rubber eyecups make them suitable for eyeglass wearers, though one does lose a little of the field of view. And finally, I think the various bright colors should appeal to young kids whether they favor a particular team or not.
