Pentax PCF WP II 8x40 Binocular - 06/23/2014

by phil c. from United States

Searched long time to replace my beloved Fujinon 6 x 30 FMJ,

These Pentax are robust and will probably take a beating quite well. Excellent fit and finish, clarity of the optics are outstanding, bright and clear.

The only draw back are the lens covers and rain guard, they are poor to useless in fitting. Will replace with some aftermarket item from Eagle.

solid recommend - 08/21/2013

I've had no problems with these binoculars in terms fit around the bridge of my nose. They've worked well
in a number lighting situations, from evening light to bright sun light. The images are bright and very sharp. I compared them to an older pair of Bushnell Legends that do not have the ED glass and feel the image with the Pentax is sharper for detailed images. They're definitely very weather proof in rainy Oregon.

Good binos - 01/14/2013

by Jim from Denver,co

These are good binos for eyeglass wearers, with long eye relief.
The problem is that if not wearing glasses, the ocular lenses are too close together to fit over the bridge of one's nose, making them awkward to use.
Optically they are bright and sharp, with a little edge softness and slight field curvature, not unusual for less expensive optics.
And for being full-size binocs, they are fairly comfortable to hold.
