Perfect compact lightweight binocular - 03/05/2015

by Carole G. from Inverness, FL

I bought this binocular because I wanted something that would be comfortable to take birding on the bicycle or in the kayak, but I am enjoying using it even when weight and size are not an issue. Focusing is very easy and the wide field of vision makes zoning in on the bird a snap. I also have a 10X50 binocular, and while I do like the greater magnification, I will be using the PCF CW 8x30 more and more because of the greater ease of use. My one criticism, and it is minor, is this: The lens caps have a feature that allows them to be attached to the neck strap. This would be very useful were it not for the fact that most birders use harnesses rather than neck straps, and the caps won't fit on the wider harness straps. Overall, I love this binocular.
