Pentax DCF WP 10X42 - 09/21/2009

starstarstarstarstar by Charles Moseley from Garland,Tx.

I have owned these for over 10 years and have never had a problem, they are as good as the day that I got them. They are easy to set the focus up,and they are so clear and tough "YES Sir THEY ARE TOUGH."Four years ago I dropped them from about 8 feet up getting out of a Deer stand on a cold winter day expecting the worst only to pick them up, clean the dirt off,"THEY WERE NOT DAMAGED." I highly recommend these to any one needing a GREAT PAIR of Binoculars. Pentax keep the good work up.

Phenomenal binos - 04/20/2009

I've owned a pair of these binos for a handful of years now and can't say enough good things about them. They are comfortable in the hand and, most importantly are optically excellent. I have a friend who is a wildlife biologist and he has a pair of $1400 Leicas with a 50mm objective lens, and he has more than once said that my Pentax WPs are at least as good as his while being lighter and more compact. When I've compared the two, I am hard pressed to tell the difference. Only when the light gets really low do the Leica's start to pull ahead, I'm sure mainly due to the larger objective lens and larger exit pupil. These binos can't be beat for the price.
