: Can´t find anything wrong with them - 08/09/2013

by Joel from Evanston, IL

I´ve now owned thes bins for over a year, and have given them more use than any of my other binoculars (I have 3 pairs). People nearly always complain about low light issues with a bin of these specs, but, even though I've tried them frequently at dusk and later, the limitations of a 25 mm objective lens aren´t that obvious. I´ve done side-by-side comparisons with my Minox BV II 10x42 BR and a Bushnell Legacy 4x42 and the Pentax's capacity to resolve detail is comparable. Not bad for a 10x25 roof prism! The field of view is narrow, but, as with so many manufacturers, it seems Pentax opted to prioritize on an edge to edge sweet spot.
Anyway, they're rugged (I often drenched in perspiration), they're light (10 oz), and their optics are sharp. So, I´m happy with my purchase from Eagle Optics

Great viewing - 02/23/2013

These binoculars are a replacement for a Leica binocular I lost on Anegada a couple years ago. Also purchased from Eagle optics! The Pentax does not disappoint. Excellent clarity, good light gathering, and a terrific price. I appreciate the great quality compact design as I don't like to give up space and weight when traveling.

Great small binocular - 10/07/2012

by Gordon from Illinois

I use binoculars for birding but also sports events and other viewing. I purchased a pair of these this spring to take backpacking as my 10x43 Pentax are large and heavy. I have been very pleased by the great view in these small and portable glasses. The field is small but the image is sharp, bright and clear. They fit in a pocket for cycling or hiking so I can bring them on casual outings and use them often. This fall I had to buy a second pair, as my wife was leaving her Zeiss 10x40s home and using my little Pentax 10x25s. This is a very nice small binocular for birding and sports and (at the sale price) a good value.

Good everyday bin. - 10/14/2010

by Vyacheslav from Irkutsk, Russia

I bought it for watching the cityscapes while scrolling along streets (buildings, carvings, river banks). The first thought about it is "not to forget I've put it into the pocket" - so light and small it is. It can successfully be used during turist trips, especially in cities: its weight and dimensions are optimal for carrying and not thinking about where it is. The magnification 10x is the most effective - it allows avoiding shake while holding in hands and at the same time more details are clear compared to its 8x "brother". The chassis is said to be made of aluminium alloy and it really makes me sure it won't ruin after this or that shock. The picture is clear, bright, blur-free in any point of the field. The eyecups have enough eye distance for comfortable watching. The only thing I don't accept is the absense of objective caps - other bins models have them. I think they would be appropriate. Resume: excellent everyday binoculars for city walks and more if weight and size matter to you. Optical and mechanical quality is really hi-end.
