Pentax DCF SP 10x43 Binocular

PROS: The first review is right on target. My other pair of binoculars are Steiner Merlin 10X42's. When comparing them there was a nice improvement in brightness and detail with the Pentax. This is more noticeable during low-light. The best comparison I can make is like switching from regular cable TV to HDTV.

CONS: I thought the neckstrap and carrying case seem cheap.

I would recommend them and I feel like they were worth the price.

This pair of binoculars, far surpassed my expections and I would recommend them to anyone who wants an exeptionally solid pair of binoculars. I'm tempted to say, "for the money" but I won't, because these are top quality bonoculars at any price. The twist-up eyecups stay where you set them, the diopter adjustment locks in place, and they focus easily and very crisply. They are very bright and clear. They are rubber coated and feel very solid and comfortable in my hands. I use them at dusk to watch deer. They are very good in low light conditions. The only draw back is, the strap that comes with the binoculars is not the best. I purchased an upgrade from EO and it works great. I didn't buy the binoculars for the strap, so to me it is not a factor. I not only would recommend these binos, I have. After using mine several friends have purchased a pair for themselves.
