An Unusual Binocular - 08/24/2011

by Kimball from United States

There are not many compact 12 power binoculars on the market, especially at a reasonable price. The Nikon non-waterproof Travelite is another in 12 power that comes to mind. Most at 12 power, range from 42mm objectives to 56mm, not 25mm like this one. These binoculars are sharp, contrasty, have good color saturation, focus easily and quickly and are really designed to look at something because of its narrow field of view, as opposed to generally taking in the views. I find them easy and comfortable to hand hold for extended viewing without a problem. It is just as well because they have no tripod socket.

Review of Nikon ProStaff Binoculars and Eagle Optics - 08/06/2011

by Neal from Versailles, KY

The binoculars met my expectations when first received and now that they have been repaired (or replaced) by Nikon. I used them once at a golf tourney, where they worked fine. I then took them to Alaska where the alignment was off. Upon returning I contacted Eagle (Lindsay), who told me to call Nikon. Nikon wanted me to pay $12 shipping each way to get them fixed, less than 2 months after buying them. Eagle (Lindsay) sent me a shipping label for return to them, sent them off for repair, and returned them to me at no extra cost. While the binoculars are good, Eagle Optics is OUTSTANDING. It was a pleasure to do business where customer service is more than just words

Luv them - 03/29/2011

I am new to bird watching and had been using a lesser quality binocular. My brother, who is an avid birdwatcher, helped me choose the Nikon ProStaff and I couldn't be happier. I will continue to birdwatch! They are easy to use, portable and very clear.
