Nikon readies the Monarch for any weather conditions with waterproofing and fogproofing and covers its sport optics with the Nikon No-Fault Repair or Replacement Policy. New sport optics have a Nikon 25-Year Limited Warranty. Refurbished sport optics have a Nikon 90-Day Limited Warranty.

Monarch 3 - 03/06/2012

The optics that I purchased seen to be just fine for my needs. I use them for spotting game I am very happy with the performance. Eagle shipped very quickly better than what I expected.

Nice optical quality but... - 02/21/2012

by John from Ashland, OR

Very nice optics out to the edges. Bright and clear. Handle well and seemed well constructed. However I sold them and bought the Eagle Optics SRT . My problem with most of the Nikons is a narrow FOV. I can't seem to get past that no matter how good the optical quality. I think there are better deals out there although the Nikon's would be great for most users.

And by the way Eagle Optics has the best customer service I've ever found in an optics company.

Great Value - 02/08/2012

by Eileen from north Texas U.S.A.

I am a Texas Master Naturalist and have recently taken up bird watching as I also volunteer at an Audubon Center. Our director at Audubon recommended the Nikon Monarch. She had just purchased a new pair for her husband. I had already determined the price range and specifications that I wanted, and was able to test a pair of Monarchs that we provide for visitors to our center. They were easy for me to focus, and I was finally able to use a pair of binoculars comfortably while wearing glasses. The images are clear, and I can easily spot the birds everyone else is talking about. Very durable housing and case.

Nikon Monarch 3 8X42 binocular - 01/15/2012

by E. S. from Vermont

I am very pleased with the binocular with one months use. The quality of the imagery is probably no better than my 24 year old Zeiss 8X24 but the increased field of vision, increased brightness of the image and ease of focusing is a great improvement.
