Nikon Action Extreme 8x40 ATB Binocular

The 8X40 Nikon Action Extreme binocular meets every performance requirement placed on it. The center field resolution is excellent and compares favorably with more expensive binoculars. There is some noticeable curvature at the edges of the field but that negative does not hinder use at all. The 8X40 Action Extreme is not as light as some others but is steady in the hand and easy to grip. Multiple users have no problem quickly adjusting the focus and distance between eyepieces to get a full view. The final plus of this binocular is that it stands up well to tough use. For me, it is a boating binocular that has been bounced around for a year now in my small boat, has fallen from its storage shelf to the floor and been hit with salt spray with no ill effects. Other binoculars might stand up as well but the moderate cost of this Nikon makes it easier for me to use it in the tough marine environment.
