Meopta Meostar 8x42 Binocular

I did a tremendous amount of research and looked at several different binoculars before purchasing these.

The optics on these are fantastic and compare to other high end optics. Swarovski optics were slightly better but I could not justify paying 3 times the cost for only a marginal increase in picture.

If you are looking for a great set of binoculars at a great price, these are it.

I have had the privilege of owning these binoculars for about a year now. They offer an exceptionally bright, wide image with excellent edge sharpness and a flat field of view. The ergonomics are excellent as they fit my hand like a glove. Overall durability and construction are excellent and easily on par with optics costing twice as much.

The negatives? Well, they are a bit heavy at 30 oz and they do display some level of color fringing on high contrast objects around the outer edge of the image. Other than that I believe you truly have high end European optics at half the price.
