Order one for yourself and a young explorer, and experience why the Leupold Yosemite creates excitement in the sport optics market. Describing the Yosemite optics as bright doesn't sufficiently depict the excellent light transmission of this economical binocular. A wide field of view only enhances the enjoyment of using the Yosemite. The small interpupillary distance accommodates a wide range of users. A choice of colors will help you outfit the whole family. Leupold covers this binocular with a limited lifetime warranty.

These are excellent binos for the money. The extra wide FOV is outstanding. Excellent eye relief for the glasses wearer.

I've had these for a few months now. I also have the Leupold Katmai 8x32 and I use the Yosemite just as much. These are fantastic quality for their cost. They feel great and are bright and sharp. I use them as an alternate to the Katmai when I don't need as much power and/or want the wider field of view. The focus knob is not nearly as smooth as the Katmai, but this is really a non-issue given the cost of the Yosemite.
The focus is still sufficient. Buy these if you are looking for inexpensive glasses for birding. That's what I use them for...this is an unbiased review; don't work for Leupold or Eagle.

Because of this binocular's capability to squeeze the eyepieces tightly together, my 6-year-old son (who received them for his birthday) can see through both despite his child's, narrow face. The size, weight, and magnification are also perfectly adequate for both my son, and for me (when he agrees to share). I wish the case and the protective caps were a bit more solid and easy to use but, given the price, I'm happy with the binocular's sturdiness. Now we hope to see a few colorful birds during migration season.
