The 6x30 is simply the best binocular in it's price range - 08/05/2012

And by a wide margin. Optically excellent and ergonomically great. They belong to our three year old and they are simply a fantastic binocular. We own Nikon EDG, Nikon Monarck X, old Leupold Gold Ring poros, a pait of Leica compacts and a pair of Vortex Viper to compare them to. This is a darn fine pair of binoculars.

I bought them because of the close inter pupillary capabilities and have come to really respect them after a year of focusing them and then handing them to our three year old.

I have no experience with the 8 powers, and cannot comment on them but I think that the Leupold 6 power Yosemite is what anyone who is on a tight budget ought to go with if they don't have a compelling need for greater power.

Anyone can afford a pair of these little jems.
