Love my binoculars! - 04/24/2013

by Jan G. from Owasso OK

I love my new Leupold BY-1 Yosemite 6x30 binoculars! I love that the front lens covers are attached so I can't lose them. The eye piece cover has a loop so I can attach them as well. They are easy to use, and lightweight.
They are a good an excellent product for this price range

Yosemite = Great buy - 08/31/2012

I recently bought a pair of Leopold Yosemite 6x binoculars to use while bowhunting. Although they less than 100$, these binos are great! They are clear and focused to the edge of the visible area they are small and compact and I can hold and focus them with one hand. My eyes are far apart and I was afraid that these binos would be designed for smaller users, but no fear, they may close up small for little faces, but they work perfectly well for larger faces as well. The focus mechanism is not perfectly smooth, with a slight resistance at one point. Also with a 30 mm exit lens, they do not have the light gathering or the field of view of a larger pair of binos, but they sure make up for that in overall value and quality.
These are fully functional, REAl binoculars, nothing toy-like or cheap about them. I have used them for two weeks of intensive stalking and I believe that I will have them for many more years to come, I think that these are one of the greatest deals on the planet!

I really like my binoculars. My son has a pair like these and I could see out of them so well, that is why I chose this style. He recommended my ordering them from Eagle Optics. They arrived so quickly I was surprised. My husband likes them also. They are very clear.

Yosemite impression - 08/20/2011

I ordered this for my grandchildren. I like the low power, the small frame, the good view and the price. But, it came with a few short-comings. The twist-up eye pieces don't have a firm indent to hold them in place when up or down. The focus knob is difficult and makes popping sounds like thick grease with air pockets in it. The neckstrap is too long for children and can't be shortened.
