These are the best binoculars for birding I've ever had! They provide a big, bright, clear image. I have an advantage over most birders in that the image I'm looking at is bigger. It helps with identification of the bird. Leica's repair department is also excellent.

If you are looking at these, you probably already know something about Binos. I tried a few and wanted the best I buy. I have been using these now for the last couple years, mostly sitting on my deck. I use them almost everyday. They are excellent. They are on the heavy side, so if you are not sitting down, it is a point to consider, but not a deal breaker. The color is excellent and they give a great view in low light. I have bought maybe 5 pair of Binos from Eagle Optics over the years and recommend them on my blog and to all my friends. Their Ranger class is a great buy and I have those scattered around the house at critical windows. Here on the deck I keep these Leica Ultravid HD. I really don't think you can find better. Keep in mind they are on the heavy side. For walking about I use the Pentax 10X33 DCF XP. On my boat I prefer the EO Ranger 10X42.

I recently purchased a pair of these highly rated Leica binoculars from the renowned supplier Eagle Optics in Wisconsin. Eagle Optics is a reliable and honest dealer with first class return and customer service options. I have owned many Leica cameras and binoculars in past years and wanted to add a higher power binocular for my personal use. I was very pleased with the size, weight and quality build of this fine optic. The image and focus adjustment as well as the accoutrements of case and tethered lens covers was first rate. My own personal reason after much decision on my part, was to return this item. I wear trifocals, and the eye relief of only 13mm was not enough. I was "burying" the rubber eye cups into the distance portion of my glasses in order to receive a properly focused whole image. I was extremely pleased using this 12x50 glass by taking off my glasses and refocusing with the diopter knob, but this procedure is too complicated for normal daily use. I highly recommend these binoculars for people who do not wear eyeglasses. My personal vision should not in any way dissuade purchasing this item. They are excellent binoculars.

Fantastic pair of binoculars, top of the line in its class, very sharp clear views and not very heavy. The handgrips make holding and observing a breeze. Pleased with Leica and Eagle Optics, will definitely buy again.
Awesome, The Best You Can Buy...

I purchased these binoculars for hunting and bird watching. I am not disappointed. These are the finest binoculars I have ever owned. For hunting, the ability to resolve detail at great distances is remarkable. I can see and detail big game at very long distances and while sitting can decide weather or not to attempt a stalk. With a mile or more separating me and a bull elk, mule deer, moose or sheep I know what he will score before I even leave my viewing perch. I don’t waste any time gathering more information by trying to get closer to see how big an animal is. I can make that determination from my original glassing spot. No chance of bumping other animals while trying to get closer to see if it is truly a trophy size animal. These binoculars are the best in the world and have no competition. I have used them all, and own all the big names in optics. Forget the rest and buy the best, purchase a Leica HD and you will not be disappointed.

These binoculars are terrific! I have had them since March of this year and they are as good as Mitch Lysinger of Fieldguides said they were. They have been to Papua New Guinea and back and although a little heavier than my Swarovskis they are easy to hold steady and I should know I'm sixty-seven years old. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants to see a little bit better and a little bit further than the next person.
