amazing top tier performer - 01/10/2014

I found these based on Allbinos reviews and cloudy nights astronomy forum. There are objectively measured as the best performing binoculars for low light usage with the widest field of view at the lightest weight available on the market at this time. They also happen to be waterproof and priced quite reasonably for what they are.

The fold down rubber eye cups unscrew to accept either polarizing filters or nebula filters. The leatherette is classic and attractive IMO compared to the all rubber FMTR version but I am not using these on a boat in the salt air.

The eyepieces are individual focus but in practice the depth of field is from about 20 meters to infinity. That combined with a 7.3 degree FOV make it fast to use.

Mine shipped with a nice neoprene strap and a medium sized grey cordura case that was nicer than expected. The individual lens caps were adequate but I wish there was some kind of flip cap available for these as the OD of the objective is >65mm. I am worried I will lose these caps easily Which is my only relatively minor gripe.
