awesome - 02/22/2015

by Ronnie from Houston, Texas

After spending my first spring migration last year using $25 binoculars from Academy it was time for an upgrade. After reading all the reviews I went with the Eagle Optics Denali 8x42s. They are wonderful and I could not recommend them enough. I literally saved my pennies for months to go towards buying my new pair and the price on these seemed very reasonable along with the good reviews. Taking them out for the first time I actually caught myself focusing on a Mourning Dove because I was seeing colors and a sheen that I had never seen before with my other binocs. Highly recommend for the thrifty birder.

Very pleased! - 02/19/2015

by Terry S. from United States

I am a beginning birder and Eagle Optics was recommended by a friend. The binoculars I got are great. Even better, the customer service when we called in with questions about different binoculars was excellent and the lifetime no questions asked guarantee made it a no risk purchase. I definitely am recommending the glasses and the company whenever I can.

Impressed!! - 12/30/2014

by Bob S. from New York

I own Bausch and Lomb 8 by 42 and bought the Denali model for my wife. I was amazed at the clarity of the image. Also the close focus is great. Much better than my binos. I may purchase 10 by 50s for hawkwatching. Great quality for the price.

FANTASTIC - great bins for educating with! - 11/18/2014

by David from Charleston, SC

As Director of an Environmental Education Program, I have purchased a large number of these Denali models over the past 6 years. They are worth every cent!
If you are an outdoor educator and want to improve your ornithology class for children or adults, I highly recommend that if you can afford these, buy them!
The optics are great, and they are light-weight enough for young children to grasp easily.
Over the 6 years that we have had the initial 15 pairs, they have been used by countless 5th graders, and we even let 1st graders use them - although, please note that I wouldn't dream of doing that without using a full bino harness, to prevent drops. In that time, I have only had to retire 1 pair for excessive scratches. These bins seem to shake off almost all abuse thrown at them. We get naturalists bringing back bins to be cleaned that appear to have been thrown in the sand on our beach, and with a little TLC they look brand new. FANTASTIC!
Every single time I order from Eagle Optics, I have been incredibly impressed by their attention to detail, customer service and their products.
Well Done!

Great Binoculars - 06/18/2014

I purchased these binoculars after reading the reviews. I bought them for my wife's birthday. They were just as described. My wife loves them for bird watching.

All around awesome - 06/08/2014

As an emerging naturalist/birder I decided binocs would be a good investment. These are the perfect binocular for those who need a crisp, close look at nature without sacrificing several paychecks.

Great Binoculars - 05/28/2014

by Nicole G from Elkridge, MD

I used these in my Ornithology class and liked them so much I bought a pair for myself. They are easy to use and a great deal for a beginner like myself. The neck strap is also very comfortable.

Fantastic binoculars - 05/06/2014

by Laura H. from Valparaiso , IN

These binoculars are wonderful for quickly seeing all the new birds that are coming into my yard. I can grab them quickly and zoom in for a closer look. The covers are attached so I don't worry about where they went and can cover the lenses again when finished.

Excellent Quality - 04/30/2014

by JD from Tennessee

Love these!!! I had a friend help me find a pair of binoculars and could not be happier with our choice, They focus with ease. The picture is so clear, did not know how different birding binoculars were. Would recommend these to anyone.

Love My New Binos! - 04/17/2014

by Sheri R. from Ventura, CA

I ordered the Eagle Optics Denali 8x42 Roof Prism Binoculars to use for birding and I love them. The quality is excellent, and focusing is easy for up close or distance. We take them to all our local birding sites, including viewing the Bald Eagles nesting at Lake Casitas, CA. They work well for me since I wear glasses and there is no eye strain at all. My husband was so impressed with these binos that he wants me to order him a pair as well. I was also pleased to order from such a reputable company as Eagle Optics.

great new binoculars - 04/15/2014

by Pietro G. from United States

I'm still very new to my Denali 8x42, so haven't been able to fully appreciate them (consequently "Very Good" rather than "Excellent", but probably the latter).
They were recommended as a best choice for a new birder by a very experienced one, and they seem to live up to or surpass my expectations as being easy to acquire an image and focus.
I'm looking forward to keeping my list of avian observations going!

Fast, Wonderful Service! - 04/15/2014

by Laura H. from Valparaiso, IN

Ordered and they were here the next day. These are great lightweight binoculars. Just what I was looking for. Clear, sharp optics with easy focus and all the pluses I was looking for: case, lens caps, cleaning cloth, and carrying straps. These aren't the most expensive, but they sure beat a heavy, ancient pair for birding!

Reason to be OPTIC-MISTIC! - 03/06/2014

by Jeffrey L. from UCLA

Absolutely love these binocs. Resolution is so clear, and will make my research so much easier and my birding so much more fulfilling!!!

Great product and company! - 02/15/2014

by Helen from Kansas

You company was recommended to me by my daughter, an avid bird-watcher, photographer, and nature-lover. After exploring your excellent website, including viewing a couple videos regarding the use and choosing of binoculars, I chose the Denali 8X42 binocular. I am very pleased with them and with the speed that they arrived. Since we have had some very cold and snowy weather since I received the binoculars, I have not had a really good chance to try them out, but what I've seen so far, I am very pleased with them. I look forward to using them a great deal in the coming months and years.

Perfect for me! - 02/06/2014

by Vonnie K. from United States

While I am not in the category birder that my husband is, I still needed something clearer, smaller and lighter than my previous pair. A friend had the Denali's and let me try them. I was sold. I appreciate the lighter weight and the clarity is wonderful. The size is perfect to carry around the neck for extended periods (my husband's are big Swarovski's and too big for me). They are easily adjusted and gather light quite nicely. Sometimes I do wear my glasses and the retractable rubber eye pieces are such a bonus. They are much better than the rubber pieces you bend back. The pricing on these binoculars was another plus for me. And I love the life time guarantee!

Great Deal - 01/28/2014

by Tess K. from Portland, OR

The Denali model is perfect for a naturalist such as myself. Whether I am spotting birds or other wildlife, these binocs were up to the job.

Delighted! - 01/28/2014

by Dianne C. from Cincinnati, Ohio

I am so pleased with the purchase of my Eagle Optic Denali binoculars. Now I have a much better chance of distinguishing one sparrow from another! Great value, too. I may buy another pair to keep in my car.

These binocs are fantastic! - 12/20/2013

I am very happy with my Eagle Optics Denali binoculars. They were reasonably priced and are perfectly suited to my birdwatching needs.

Eagle Optics. Denali Binoculars - 10/22/2013

by Janet O. from Nineveh,NY

I am new to bird watching and participate it watching the hawks at Cornell University via computer.
Many of the experienced watchers recommended these binoculars for the price and ease of use.
I have used them frequently at home since I received them and find them to be far superior to the ones I already had. I am looking forward to going to the Cornell campus and Sapsucker Woods in the spring to use them. I am very happy with my purchase...I used them to watch some birds soaring on Sunday and it was wonderful.

Great mid-range bino! - 08/27/2013

by Andy from Raleigh,NC

I recently damaged my 10 year old low priced 10x42 vanguards and decided to splurge for some better binoculars in the middle price range. I am interested in birding and general wildlife viewing.
After first trying the vortex diamondback 8x42, which were slightly more expensive than the Denalis, I was disappointed to discover the focusing wheel to be very stiff and irregular. This may have been a fluke, but was unacceptable for a bino that cost this much! I immediately returned them.
I next tried the Denali 8x42 and could not be happier. They are very comfortable, light, and the focusing wheel is smooth and fluid. The optics are crystal clear and work very well in low light. It also comes with a much nicer more functional case than the diamondbacks.
I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for a good birding/wildlife viewing binocular.

Thrilled - 07/14/2013

by Tom A. from Arizona

Completed first field trip of birding. I'm completely satisfied. What a great value. Since I consider myself an occasion birder I find the purchase complete with lens covers and case in one package just great.

A Great Step Up - 07/04/2013

by Dave V. from Pacific Northwest, USA

After many years of using rather large and heavy 7x50 binoculars, I made the shift to the EO Denali model, and I am very pleased with their performance. The views are bright, crisp, and of excellent contrast, and they are of a reasonable weight and size, making them easy to handle and wear.

The main reasons I replaced my 7x50's with the Denalis are: 1) BAK4 prisms; 2) Closeness of focusability; and 3) other very high-level features, such as phase correction, offered for an excellent price. I still use my 7x50's for binocular astronomy because of their larger objective lenses, and thus light-gathering capability, but I reach for the Denalis for absolutely everything else now.

These bino's are apparently rugged and quite weather-resistant, being listed as water- and fog-proof, and they come with the Eagle Optics lifetime no-fault warranty. All things considered, these are fine, high-quality binoculars that can't be beat.

Good value for the price - 06/14/2013

by Sharen U. from United States

Light transmission through these binoculars is very good. I am also impressed with the ease that the focusing wheel turns. I believe this model binocular to be a great value for a birder who cannot spend many hundred dollars for his/her binoculars. The cordura nylon case is much nicer than the old hard cases that I am used to. I would recommend these binoculars to friends and relatives.

Great Binocs - 06/06/2013

by Tom H. from United States

Really great binocs at a great price, bird watching in the back yard has never been so rewarding. Awesome sharpness and brightness!

Excellent value and optics - 05/27/2013

by Ed from MPLS

Birdwatcher am I. Focus and clarity are ideal/superb/exceptional - given the price. Build feels rugged. Focus wheel is fast and easy to use. I bought this bino pair as a spare pair to keep in the car/boat - but I am very very impressed. My only "con" is that this pair seems a tad bit heavy - as compared to other glass in this size - but I suspect that this is testimony to its build. Field of View at 408 feet @ 1000 yards is nice to have. Tis made in China. I would buy another pair in an instant - and I would recommend purchasing this pair to a friend without any hesitation.

Eagle Optics 8 x 42 binoculars for commercial use - 03/21/2013

by Barbara C. from Cumberland Island National Seashore, Greyfield Inn

These binoculars were recommended to us by a retired ornithologist from a major university. He said they are a good investment with long life and a reasonable cost. I have been using 4 of them on bird and wildlife tours for approx. 2 months. Many of our guests have no idea how to use binoculars. They fulfill all my requirements: rugged/durable (used by a variety of clients of various ages in a variety of terrains), easy to use and to explain how to use, lightweight, compact enough, and really bring the birds and wildlife we view to immediate intimacy for our guests. I frequently hear guests exclaim over the clarity, detail and the enrichment of their viewing experience. If I were buying new binoculars for myself I would buy these for my personal use. Suggestions: slightly longer leash for the lens covers, sometimes awkward to get them out of the viewing way; different color (maybe red) for the right eyepiece focus--guests seem to have confusion over it even though it has a rubber-ribbed focus ring.

Great vision - 02/26/2013

I have the Eagle Optics Rangers and needed a second pair to keep in the house. These are incredible. Light weight and the clarity is spectacular. The price is right. I would recommend these.
