Love the Power! - 05/19/2016

by Ceri C. from UT

I love my binos! They focus easy and clear (and my eyes aren't so good any more). It is so fun to be able to really see what you are trying to look at. Everyone who uses them loves them. It has made looking at nature so much more fun! Thanks for a great product!

Can't be without them - 02/25/2016

by Sally B. from East Dubuque, Illinois

My Eagle Optics 10x42 Denali binocs are the best I have ever owned. I broke something on them about 6 months ago and sent them in for repair which they did and sent back good as new, but it took about 4 weeks. Being without them daily was torture and now there is another problem so I must go thru the waiting again. I saw this email about entering a giveaway for new eagle optic binocs & thought I'd try to win a set so if mine needed repair I would have a backup set. They really are the best and I've got other friends to buy them and all of them are thrilled with theirs too.

great replacementf or my old binos - 01/04/2016

by Chris Z from Cincinnati, OH

I got these Eagle Optics Denali 10x42s to replace my 25 year old birding 8x40s-they give a nice and clear and bright view of the LBJs and are good for longer distance viewing too. They're easy to focus- and are weighted well- neck strap comfy- the carry case sturdy enough to last many years- and very good value for money.

Great Binoculars for the price - 09/07/2015

by Thomas from Seattle

6 years ago I won a great set of Denali 7x32 binoculars back in a local Audubon Birdathon fund raiser. I like them so much I decided to buy some Denali 10x42 I'm reviewing here; I love them. The image is sharp and bright enough to see the black and red pattern on the bill of a California Gull at about 50 yards. With the 10x42 magnification I can see the bill shape of warblers and other small birds, that is hard to see with the 7x32. I share my binoculars often with my wife and daughter, who where glasses, so the 3 stop eye-cup adjustment is quick and easy when handing off to look at quails in the back yard. The grip and balance of the binoculars makes them comfortable to hold for long periods of time. The padded strap and binoculars lite-ish weight make them comfortable around the neck. The case is versatile with an option of a padded, adjustable strap for the case that is clip on, which I removed. Instead, I use the case and the strap on the binoculars to carry. The rain guard and objective lens covers are a great design that is very similar to my 10x42 SLC Swarovski binoculars; they stay on when I carry the binoculars long distances while hiking keeping rain and debris off the lenses. What could go wrong with a "no fault guarantee". That is, short of losing them, if something goes wrong they will fix or replace them. Overall they are great, and I would not expect eagle optics to put their name on them, unless that was true.

Excellent binoculars - 05/08/2015

by Paul R. from Stockbridge Georgia

Best binoculars I have ever tried. Better than some at 2 or 3x the price. Compact for easy traveling. Rapid smooth focus. No fog clear crisp optics.

Great Binocs - 07/23/2014

by Christy Kendall from United States

Very pleased with this pair so far. Haven't gotten out in the field as much as I would like yet but they seem pretty good. I got them to use for birding and they do the job. The focus knob turns easily and the image is very clear. I was used to using an 8x42 pair and was a little worried the zoom on these would be too much and hard to see the birds good. The 10 zoom is perfect! Overall very pleased with the Denali 10x42.

Great Pair of Binocs - 04/17/2014

by Alexander C. from Cedarville, Ohio

These binocs are my favorite pair by fair. Great in lower light, crisp image and the weight isn't too bad on the neck for extended periods of time. I would highly recommend these to any birder

Great first pair! - 04/10/2014

by Kym from United States

As a relatively new birder who spent quite some time researching, these are a great first pair. The debate is always 8 vs 10, I went with the 10 only because it was $10 more. So far it's been great. I'm fairly young, but prone to hand-shaking, so while it is an issue, I think it will get better with time. They are standard weight (not more then clunky old-timer binos, but not light-weight to really cry home about). It's definitely compact and easy to handle. The strap has more padding, which is nice, but is still heavy around the neck.

Obviously the image is amazing. You can see each individual feather if the bird is close enough. Trying to chase birds around doesn't work as much, but you still get a crisp image.

Still relatively heavy.
It's a 10X magnification- maybe rethink for hand-shakers, not for those who try to watch birds in flight.
Takes time to get used to

BUT amazing crisp image.

Worth it if on sale, if it were full-price, I don't think I would have went with it.

Great quality - 04/01/2014

by Michael from Graham, WA

I recently purchased the 10 x 42 Denalis and I am very impressed. The quality for the price is in my opinion unmatched. I primarily use these optics for birding and would recommend them to other beginners.

Terrific binoculars! - 12/13/2013

by Karen from Louisville, KY

I bought these for my daughter at the suggestion of her graduate school professor who is a world renowned ornithologist. My daughter had previously been using 8X40 binoculars and had trouble seeing details. She is thrilled with the Eagle Optics Denali 10x42 Roof Prism Binocular. She can see details and colors. She is so excited.

All I Need - 11/04/2013

by Randy B. from Norton, WV

This review link has been sitting in my in-box for a couple of months. I am not one to review something; until I have actually used it for a while. Bottom line is the Eagle Denali is the BEST binocular in its price range. It is all I need to carry in my truck ALL of the Time. In bright, sunlight mid-day conditions, there is not much if any difference between it and its competition. But, in low light situations these out-shine everything in their price range. These are a WISE choice for your hard-earned money. you can save a few dollars here and actually have a little gas money left-over to go and look at something.

Great binos - 09/07/2013

Novice Birder - 06/07/2013

by M Nickley from Ohio

The eagle optic Denali 10x42 binoculars were recommended by both of my sons who are avid birders.

I am ABSOLUTELY thrilled them. They are perfect for me in every way.

Thank you for providing such a first-rate product.

I bought these to use on Safari and I was very pleased with the quality of the lenses. I would recommend for someone looking for a good quality binocular for a reasonable price.

Great value - 05/10/2013

by Mike J. from Dunedin, FL USA

I already own the Eagle Optics Denali 8x42 and have been very happy with them but with my lousy eyes I really need all the help I can get. So I went for the 10x42 pair for a paltry $10 more. What can I say? They are every bit as bright as the 8x but with the extra power I can see much more detail on birds that enable identification. The amount of adjustment with center ring to find my object is much less but I do not feel that I am sacrificing much depth of field at all. I am very pleased with these binoculars as I am not one to spend a lot of money on gear which I can then use for a birding trip. My wife is now thinking seriously of upgrading her 8x42 Denalí's as well.

Watching Elk Herd While on Vacation - 02/27/2013

by Larry from Garland,TX

We watched a herd of 27 elk in Colorado of all cows & calves; while 9 bulls in second group about 300 yards away. They all were on a ridge top; while we used my friend's Denalis. The Denalis were clear with great contrast in shade versus sunny ridge meadow. All 600 yards we could see very well in the shadows of the sun going down.

Compact and great resolution - 01/01/2013

by Don V. from Olympia, WA

I have been pleased with the Denali binocs. All of the lens covers are attached so they don't get lost. The Denalis are lightweight and compact. Easy to carry around. The resolution/clarity of the images is outstanding!

A great buy - 06/22/2012

by A. from Saranac Lake

I use these binoculars for my loon monitoring in the Adirondack park. I need to be at a distance but still need to be able to see if the loons are banded and if so what color the bands are. These work great, I could not ask for better performance from my binoculars.

Danalis Binos not bad - 12/19/2011

by jim from Washington

Like all optics, you get what you pay for. A below $200 pair of binoculars will get you a better pair than a sub $100 but not as good as a $400. I have found that with optics, there is a sweet spot for what I do (birding) and that usually hits in the 400-500$ range with much over that being for the Donald Trumps of the world.

But for an average day birding...this Denali pair isn't all that bad. I would say this is a good beginning pair. Now I don't hunt and when you hunt for elk or deer...the creatures are a bit larger and you are looking to view for a different purpose than one who is birding. So...expectations differ. For birding, these are light enough, fit in your hands well...offer good view in close up situations and provide pretty good light all in all. Towards dusk or early morning when shades of gray more prevalent, I would say they lack just a bit but again for someone just starting out or as a second pair laying around these are excellent.

The center focus wheel is easy to use....the right eye diopter is stiff, yes...but really, you only really set it once anyhow and it is best to be stiff so there is no accidental manipulation of. I like the drop-down lens covers as they are attached and you are not going to be losing them as you walk. The feel is solid, rubber coated. The strap is just an average strap, many times I buy a separate one anyhow to replace to the ones that come with any binocular.

Clarity of focus is really good in the middle sweet spot, not so much on the sides. But, who you always center your object anyhow, right? As I mentioned earlier, ease of the focus wheel makes it easy to focus from different ranges, there is not a ton of turning of the focus wheel to obtain focus when changing ranges. This is a good feature. The focus wheel is easy to use, in the center and my fingers found it and easy manipulated without any issues. The case, is just a case.... The bino's are light so if you wanted you could easily travel with this. The size is about that of the nikon Monarch, unlike some of the Vortex ones I have which are larger.

All in all...I would suggest this pair as a beginning pair of bino's, perhaps a second pair for others to borrow..or like I use it as, a good 'car bino' that stays in my car and I use it as I drive around. A solid pair for $200, better than a Tasco by far and large, better than some of the Bushnell $100 pairs that are floating around as a beginning bino, but surely not as good in color, light and feel quality as a Vortex Talon, Razor or Nikon Monarch.

Great To Mentor New Hunters! - 06/16/2011

by Larry from Garland, TX

I took a pair of Eagle Optic's Denali 10x42 I borrowed & took 2 girls calling coyotes.
They worked earlier in the day & were extremely light just before sundown. Three shots from the .22-250 yields three yoldel dogs. We have three new hunters 2 girls, a little older version of the fore mentioned girls(mom) & dad beamed with pride.
Good equipment & spend time with patience thats what was used.

Great Optics - 05/14/2011

by Gale from MI

I’m really happy with these binoculars! All the previous reviews are true; this is nice pair of binoculars. The case and neck strap are top of the line. Good feel to them and crystal clear. I went to NC and looked at some waterfalls at least a 1/4mile away and could see the water droplets bounce off the rocks and view the rainbow mist. I hawk watch a lot and it really pulls them in. Only wish the FOV was wider.

Watching Bucks For Youth Hunters! - 04/28/2011

by Larry H. from Garland, TX

I have used this pair for three weeks watching the movement of does & bucks on two ranches. They have preformed well early & late allowing me to pick out with ranch owners & the ranch managers the # to harvest(take).
Closer to the season we will watch more often with more people using them to observe deer & hogs for the youth hunts. The over supply of our hogs in Texas will yield more lean meat for these single mom's & their families.

Guide For Youth Hunters - 03/17/2011

by Larry H. from Garland, TX

The 10x42 Eagle Optics Denali Binoculars would enable me from telling a youth to shoot a nubbin buck or multiple pointed buck on a winter wheat field. These are good quality & should be used when not deer are present; yet a fox or bobcat sneaks along in perimeter grass. The youth seem to want to look at everything as it should be & the 10x42Denali would allow it.

My first binoculars - 02/09/2011

by Hernaldo from Dallas, TX

As a naturalist and bird watcher, these binoculars are excellent in the field, have a great color perception and definition, are ideal for birds even in the most dense vegetation. In addttion are very light and the strap reduces the fatigue!

Very Good Birding Binocular for the Price - 12/22/2010

by Fred the Birder from Florida

I purchased the Denali 10x42 binoculars as an upgrade to a pair of 8X35 Bushnells and they are a considerable improvement. They deliver a clear and bright view. The eyepiece and the tethered objective lens covers are a nice asset. The one thing that took some getting used to was the location of the central focusing ring, which is farther back than what I was used to. I would recommend these as a nice, lightweight binocuar at a reasonable price.

Youth Hunting with Huntmaster - 10/28/2010

by Larry from Garland, TX

I borrowed a pair of Denali from a hunting guide for a mom(single mom). This was a first time hunt for both youth & mom. The binoculars were clear & served a good function right at dark. Youth took a doe & Texas overpopulation of hogs minus one.
