Good compromise - 09/04/2015

by Don U. from United States

I wanted something with a wider objective than you can get with a compact pair, but I wanted something smaller than my current full-size binoculars. I use them for hunting and birdwatching (yes, I do both). I also wanted something of a higher quality than what I'm used to (never paid more than $70) without breaking the bank on a pair of Leicas or something like that. These seem to be a really good compromise on both fronts. In size they are about half way between a compact pair and a full-size pair. And I find the quality of the image to be excellent. I once had a chance to borrow a truly professional pair of binoculars, and I suppose they were better, but these are the best binoculars I have ever owned, and the price was great.

A really very good binocular for the money - 04/30/2015

by Peter A. from Michigan

I recently purchased these binoculars and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the optics. For the money the Celestron DX 10x42 binoculars are nearly amazing as far as optical performance goes. Close focus is excellent and field of view is very good for 10 power binoculars. The DX 10x42's are not perfect, there is some coloration in the image and really horrible lens caps. High points for crisp image and feel in the hands. Low points for lack of crispness off center of image.

Great Product - 07/24/2014

by Mike McQuarrie from Black Hills, SD

A very good product in the lower priced category. I see everything my friend with the $1,600 binoculars sees. Well designed, easy to adjust and focus, sharp, clear field of view.
