Can't wait - 05/24/2011

by Margaret from Sacramento, CA

I've never had a nice pair of binoculars before. Typically I buy from yard sales. I'm going on a trip to Costa Rica in 2 weeks and ordered these. OMG - I've been missing so much! Never before have I been able to stabilize any binocular for viewing. My eyes are not strained and I can really see. It is amazing for me to call a retailer, describe my need and be custom fit to the perfect product. I can't wait to use them in the vacation field and not just practice on the baseball field.

good value - 04/06/2011

by Suzy from Illinois

I purchased these as a birding binocular for my son and they are great for the price. The image is sharp and clear, even in lower light. I like my Eagle Optic rangers a little better, but for an adolescent, and the price, I'm very happy with this product!

Completely Satisfied - 03/12/2011

by Maureen K. from Texas

I really am enjoying my new pair of Atlas Binoculars since the Spring migration has begun in my area of Texas.
These binoculars are truly lightweight and I do not have to wear my prescription glasses to use them!
I would highly recommend the Sky King 8 x 42 for clarity and easy to use.

Bright, Solid and Rugged - 10/06/2010

by Patrick H. from Madison, WI

I'm a hard sell but these binos were an easy decision. I bought these binoculars mainly for bird watching and am impressed with the image brightness, field of view and ease of use. The focus moves freely though the dioptor adjuster is pretty stiff. Luckily it only has to be adjusted once and then it locks nicely. In low light the binos capture plenty of light. The colors come out true to my eyes and I am impressed with the high level features at this price. I will consider Atlas Optics if I decide on 10 power binos to look at the night skies. The staff are quite friendly, helpful and down to earth. And you can't ask for a better warranty. Hopefully I'll take a trip up to Hawk Ridge in Duluth yet this fall to test them further!

Great Retirement Gift - 08/08/2010

by Terri from Oklahoma City, OK

I purchased these Binoculars on behalf of my office co-workers for a retirement gift for a friend who is interested in bird-watching. I did try these (to make sure they worked, of course) and they were excellent viewing quality and very easy and quick to focus. My personal binoculars are not very good quality, and I plan on buying a pair of these for myself. My friend who was the gift recipient was also thrilled with the quality.

Top features for a bargain price - 04/01/2010

by Tim from Corryton, TN

The Atlas Optics lineup is full of great binoculars, and these Sky Kings are no exception. The first thing I was impressed by was the construction - magnesium chassis, BAK4 glass, dielectric coated prisms, etc. You normally have to spend $800+ to get those features. The binoculars just feel like a quality instrument. Optically, the first thing that hit me was the edge-to-edge image flatness and clarity - probably the center 75% is clear and with no chromatic aberration - impressive for binoculars in this price range. The center-of-view sharpness is good, but not on par with the AO Intrepids. The only two "issues" I have with the Sky Kings are the lack of brightness (not bad, but I expected more) and the yellow color bias (again, not bad, but I expected them to be more neutral). Overall though, these are very nice binoculars and, like the rest of the Altas line, a bargain at $199.
