solid pair of binoculars - 05/14/2016

by Chris from martha's vineyard MA

These are a good pair of binoculars at a reasonable price. I was new to the binocular scene and a friend said you must go to Eagle Optics so that's what I did. I knew I wanted to buy a good pair for bird watching and obviously this can be very intimidating with all the other products out there. But the Atlas Optics Radian 10x42 have really proved themselves already. I'm monitoring an osprey nest here on the vineyard and I find I can watch in full detail for long stretches of time which is exactly what I wanted to do!

Atlas Optics Radian 10x42 Binocular - 05/05/2016

by Joe M. from NYS

First good binocular I've owned.
I bought them for watching wildlife and for use while hiking.
I'm very satisfied with their performance but they are heavier than I thought they would be. I guess that's part of the price for that magnification and lens diameter.

Not for me - 02/16/2016

by David B. from DeLand, Florida

I love optics and found this model and price irresistible. As I unpackaged them, I got REAL excited. Then felt durable and comfortable and I could tell the quality was way above my previous binoculars. However, when I used them I noticed a soft, but rather large yellow outline around birds, trees, etc. I felt as if they were misaligned, but I wasn't familiar with this type, so I couldn't say. I kept adjusting them to get the right focus and such, and after a while I felt disoriented. This dizziness lasted for a few hours. According to customer service, the chromatic aberration (CA) around the terminating edges is by-product "of all roof prisms regardless of price." Also, they said the dizziness and the CA may be enhanced if they are out of alignment.

The Sales Specialist was very informative and helped me to understand why my cheap Porro prisms didn't have the CA and didn't make me disoriented, and why CA is "a fact of life with all roof prism binoculars."

The return was easy and efficient.

Very pleased! - 01/27/2016

by Rose F. from Datyon, VA

I ordered the Atlas Optics Radian 10X42 Binoculars a few weeks ago. My partner was a little skeptical, because he said you can't get a good pair of binoculars for under $300. However, we were both pleasantly surprised to find they are easy to focus and comfortable to wear. I was so happy to have the binoculars on hand for bird watching when we had a 2 foot snow storm last week! The red-bellied woodpecker, nuthatch, and purple finch are more beautiful than I realized when using my old binoculars. I couldn't be more pleased!

Good Stuff - 01/26/2016

by Stephan from California

Really good binocular at a very fair price.
It comes with a good bag and is easy to use while comfortable enough for people with glasses.

Lightweight! - 12/11/2015

by HAB from California

I have reached the point in my life when I can't carry heavy bins over a long day of birding. I was nervous about buying a pair online, but the Atlas Optics Radian 10x42 was a great purchase. It really is lightweight, with a clear, bright field of vision. And relatively inexpensive! The controls require a little more pressure than my old bins, but I'll get used to that quickly enough. Highly recommended for anyone who needs lightweight binoculars.

Good quality for price - 07/31/2015

by Elton C. from United States

I bought these for my daughter and a pair of 8x42 for my grand daughter on their Birthdays. My wife and I have had 10x42 Rangers for 5 years now and a Vortex scope. Eagle optics has excellent equipment and service.

Review of binoculars - 06/03/2015

by Maryella R. from Maine

This my second pair of these particular binoculars. I had a little problem with the first ones but Eagle Optics repaired them.
I am a birder and needed a spare pair of these.
Because they are comfortable to use I purchased the same thing.

Great so far! - 05/28/2015

by Inez H, from United States

I got these binoculars for birding. I work in the field catching birds and its important for me to be able to see and accurately identify species of sparrows. These binoculars have been great. They have everything needed to be useful at a great price point.

I would say their only downside is that the focusing wheel is not very easy to turn, it takes more pressure than most binoculars. This may be an upside because it can't be accidentally bumped off focus but there you go.

OUTSTANDING BINOCULARS...!!! - 05/26/2015

by ROBERT from United States

I read the reviews and decided to pull the trigger, get the bat off my shoulder - insert your own well-worn cliche...these binoculars were stellar performers and the price was soooooooooooo reasonable..!!!
Get yours now, while supplies last...!!!

Very Nice! - 02/19/2015

by Bill A. from Batavia IL

Bought these thinking that I would like to have a pair of 10x and was not disappointed.I have a pair of Swaros which are awesome, but am reluctant to travel with them. Reading the reviews I decided to try them. Very Nice binos and would recommend them. I was AMAZED how quickly my order was delivered! Ben was very helpful and I would recommend him as well. Under 24 hrs!

Great binoculars - 01/20/2015

by Craig from Tomah, WI

I bought these for my mom as a late Christmas gift. She loves them!

Great quality and value - 01/07/2015

by Cree Mo from Athens, GA

This was my first "grown up" binocular purchase. I'm very happy with them. They're great for a novice birder or an advanced one for that matter. Eagle Optics shipped promptly and I've had no problems to report. Excellent price for very good quality.

Better than expected for the price, very pleased with purchase.

Great binoculars! - 01/03/2015

by Karen D. from Ohio

I received these binoculars as a Christmas gift from my husband. Even though the rainy weather has kept me from exploring outside with them, I have had up-close views of our backyard feeders and crystal clear views of the birds. Nice and light weight and very easy and quick to focus. Love them!

Thanks Ben! - 12/31/2014

by John T. from Oconomowoc, WI

One of your employees, Ben Lizdas, always recommended a "good" binocular vs. the kind one can buy at Walmart. I never looked through a well designed optical device and did not realize how bright and clear they can be.
Our daughter has an interest in birding. We decided to give her birding stuff for a Christmas this year. We remembered that Ben works for Eagle so we tried the website. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the Atlas 10x42 binocular was on sale for an affordable price and is a great tool for a beginner.
We are totally "blown away" by the images we see using the Atlas binocular. (I know you have better products but these are great for the price) The website and the quick response to after placing the order are top notch....thanks Eagle Optics!

Great! - 12/30/2014

by Ashley from Canyon, TX

Already owned a pair of these binos, and just bought a second pair in case I lose mine or break them. Absolutely love them! They are really light and are really clear when you look through them.

Atlas Optics 10x42 - 12/29/2014

by Richard H. from Jacksonville, FL

My wife and I LOVE the binos! They are incredibly clear, even as close as the 6.5' minimum focus. I especially like the warranty and the service. I would definitely return to Eagle Optics for future purchases!!

Best optics at the best price. - 11/22/2014

by Pete from New Mexico

I bought these optics for hunting hoping to get good quality binos without breaking the bank. I took a chance on the Atlas based off of the good reviews. Boy am I glad I did. These are by far the best optics I have ever owned. Granted, I haven't owned any high end glass but, I must say I think they are equal if not better than my buddy's Vortex Diamondbacks. In fact, he was a little upset after looking through mine and then learning I paid about $100 less than he did with a warranty just as good. If you are searching for some clear, quality glass. Take a chance on the Atlas Radians. You will not be sorry.

excellent buy! - 11/12/2014

by Douglas S. from United States

The product was everything that they said, but the lifetime,
unconditional warranty sold me.

Buyer Beware - 10/14/2014

by Sally L. from Maine

This was my third Atlas Radian purchase. I even recommended them to several other people based on my initial satisfaction. Unfortunately my bins have not held up. They are currently in the shop for the third time for yet another repair. I take very good care of my stuff and AM NOT hard on my equipment. I am sorry to say that I can no longer recommend this brand.

Excellent Product - 07/24/2014

by Barbara Methvin from United States

This product is everything it is advertised to be. Great bird-watching tool.

Great Bins & Great Service - 06/04/2014

by Bernie W. from Rodney, Ontario, Canada

The Atlas 10 x 42 are an amazing deal for the money. Optical quality is on par with many much more expensive binoculars. The stuff that comes with it like the strap and case aren't all that bad either. The weight and feel are comfortable, and I don't mind carrying them around. I did have a small problem when they came. The left twist up eye cup was very stiff and hard to turn in and out. I phoned Eagle Optics and they said they would replace them. I got the replacement bins and they are fantastic! Thank you Eagle Optics

Huge bang for your buck! - 06/04/2014

by Tim from Red Bluff, Ca

I bought these optics about 3 months ago from EO & couldn't be more please! Quality, shipping & warranty through EO is amazing. These optics are sooo nice, everyone comments on them after use & can't believe that I got these for a steal at $99.00 back in March while on sale. Still an awesome buy at listed price. Thanks EO for a great buy

Excellent optics and value! - 05/29/2014

by Barry from Southeast PA

If you want to reach out a little more for little outlay, these will do the job well. Great fit and finish, and handling. For 10x, these are very compact and the focus is very smooth and easy.

Eye relief could be better for eyeglass wearers though, and the field of view is not large. But if you're using these without glasses, and you want to use these to spot or identify, they will get you closer, and with excellent detail.

And with one of the best warranties from Eagle Optics, it's a very nice package indeed. If you get them on sale, it's even nicer!

Great Purchase! - 03/28/2014

by Jen from Madison, WI

Excellent service and product. Their staff is very responsive if you have any questions about products. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend purchasing from them. For a first time binocular buyer this was the perfect price & excellent quality.

Atlas Radian 10x42 - 03/13/2014

by Jane H. from Raleigh, NC

I purchased these binoculars as a second, backup option. So far I am pleased with them. The optics are clear, the colors are true, there is a bit of distortion at the edge of field of vision, but not horrible.

The focus wheel is not as sensitive as I'm used to with my Nikons but is acceptable for the average user. Good, solid constrution, comfortable in the hand, nice rubberized barrels. Eye relief is good and diopter dial stays where you set it.

I am pleased with my purchase, these will be my backup binoculars, but that said, will probably receive daily use. I plan to keep them in my truck for impromptu birding activity!

good value - 03/12/2014

by Ron H. from Loveland, CO

The Atlas Optics Radian binocular has proved a good instrument and value for my needs. I provide two to participants on interpretive bird walks I lead, and participants like them. The large diameter eyepiece and the lens qualities are appreciated.

Amazing for the Price - 03/05/2014

by Puffin FJ from Florida

I was looking for a pair of inexpensive binoculars to take on a trip where they were likely to get banged around. I did not anticipate seeing any lifers, so did not want to take my Zeiss. The $100 price was attractive, and I am very pleased with the quality - much better than I anticipated for the price. I was able to see clear, sharp images of a Pacific loon, an unexpected lifer. I would definitely recommend these binoculars for a spare pair, or a beginner.

First pair of Binoculars - 03/04/2014

by Mike from Panama City, FL

This is the first pair of binoculars that I've purchased and I am very happy with them. They were highly recommended and priced reasonably so I decided to go with them. I was very pleased at the ease of adjustment and focus and how clear they are. The viewing distance is pretty nice too. I am new to using optics so I can't speak on how well they stack up to other sets out there, but for me they work great.
