Vortex Lens Covers for Leica Bins? Yes!
Josh from Ohio
I bought these to replace the objective covers that came with a pair of Leica UltraVid HD 8x42. The Leica tethers both broke after about 6 months of heavy use, and I inevitably lost one in the field. The Vortex objective covers seem sturdy and flexible, and they actually fit my Leicas better than the factory lens caps. The tether on the Vortex covers seems a little flimsy, but maybe that is a feature that results in greater flexibility, and therefore longer life. So, if you're out to replace the lens caps on a pair of Leica UltraVids, these are the best fit. Also, thanks to Parker at EO for trying all the lens caps they carry on a pair of Leicas so I knew which ones had the best fit. As always, EO is the best!
Good fit for my monarch 5

The monarch 5 brings its own tethered covers! but they were coming off easily. These work great for me
Great fit, on and off

I recently purchased a pair of the Atlas Intrepids 8x42's. From the reviews I understood the Binoculars were excellent but some of the accessories were not up to par. The staff at EO were great in responding to my concerns and set me up with the Vortex Lens Covers and I've had no problems feeling confident that my lens covers will stay attached even when I'm clamouring through tree branches and brush. Great fit!

These fit my Leupold 10x42 Acadia Binoculars perfectly. I'm very happy with this product.
Lens covers worked great!

I replaced the lens covers on my 8x42 Leica Geovid binoculars with the Vortex product. I am very pleased with them. They fit very well and I have had no problems. I would recommend this product to others and suggest buying a spare set if you are as hard on equipment as I am. It is a small investment to protect the lenses of expensive binoculars from damage.
It's hard to find lens cover replacements

These lens covers lasted almost a year before they broke off.

This covers fit perfectly on my Leica 8 x 42 BN Trinovid. They are just the right mix of rigidity and softness to hold their shape real well, and be easy to put on, but soft enough to hold on tight.
I'm very satisfied with them so far. I'll see how they hold up to UV light in the future.
