The hinged flip cap optic cover makes it a snap to keep fine optics protected and flips completely back so the cap lies flat. Simply slip the rubber cover over the objective or ocular end of your optic.

Size 6 fits over a variety of optics with these outside diameters (OD):

  • 46-55 mm
  • 1.8–2.2 inches

Great Objective Lens Cover Replacements! - 04/24/2015

by Mike from United States

I have previously used some Bushwacker covers on a couple of pairs of Nikon binoculars--liked them very much. Recently got a new pair of Nikon porros--great binoculars but poor front covers. Eagle suggested I try the Vortex Flip Covers--which are similar to the Bushwackers. Got them, installed them and think that they are great--a tremendous improvement over the original covers. They were easily installed--look good and work well--hope their longevity is also good.

Not my style - 10/09/2014

I thought I might like these but I didn't. They work like they say, but they flip open with the slightest jiggle. I was thrashing my way through some nasty brush with my lenses uncovered due to them inadvertently flipping open.

Perfect Fit - 02/05/2012

by Regi from Towson, MD

These are an absolutely perfect fit for my Nikon Sporter I 10x36 binoculars. I'm using them to replace the non-tethered caps packaged with the binoculars. The objective lens' outer diameter is ~ 46mm(1.8") and these fit like a glove. No more worrying about losing my lens covers.

Highly recommended!!!

Best objective lens cover I have used - 01/15/2012

by Peter from Severna Park, MD

I lost one of the objective lens covers that came with my Vortex 8x42 Vipers, and was about to order another pair of the same type when I saw these, and decided to try them. I'm glad I did. I found them much more secure and much easier to open than the original ones, so I am ordering more pairs of them for relatives who use binoculars. It takes a bit of effort to push them over the barrel, but that also means they are on very securely. I mounted them so the covers flip up as shown in the catalog, so the covers don't rest on my chest.
