The hinged flip cap optic cover makes it a snap to keep fine optics protected and flips completely back so the cap lies flat. Simply slip the rubber cover over the objective or ocular end of your optic.

These are an absolutely perfect fit for my Nikon Sporter I 10x36 binoculars. I'm using them to replace the non-tethered caps packaged with the binoculars. The objective lens' outer diameter is ~ 46mm(1.8") and these fit like a glove. No more worrying about losing my lens covers.

I lost one of the objective lens covers that came with my Vortex 8x42 Vipers, and was about to order another pair of the same type when I saw these, and decided to try them. I'm glad I did. I found them much more secure and much easier to open than the original ones, so I am ordering more pairs of them for relatives who use binoculars. It takes a bit of effort to push them over the barrel, but that also means they are on very securely. I mounted them so the covers flip up as shown in the catalog, so the covers don't rest on my chest.
