What's the first thing to get lost when you take your binoculars out in the field? The loose plastic caps provided by many manufacturers. Measure the outside diameter of the binocular barrel to determine which size of these tethered objective lens covers you need. These lens covers:
- Fit an outside diameter of 44mm.
- Come as a set of two lens covers.
- Stay securely on the objective lens.
I modified these for Canon 10x30 IS binoculars
Brian from North Central Florida
These don't fit on the Canon 10x30 IS binoculars, there isn't enough objective barrel length for both the tether rings and the caps around the objective ends. The cap portion by itself does fit fairly well onto the objective ends, at an angle. What I did was to cut off the rings from the keepers, and rubber-cemented the keeper flat parts overlapped together in the center to make what looked like a pair of swim goggles. The tabs provide additional staying-on force in the center, which has the shortest objective barrel and the least grip. I suspect the rubber cement will not hold forever and I'll have to sew the tabs together, but that's ok.
Tethered Bino lens cover set
Bill R. from Dunedin, Fl
I initially ordered the small version but this was not correct for Leica 10x42 BA. Called and spoke with rep who was extremely helpful. Needed the medium size. Mailed them back and received the new medium lens cover set also immediately. I cannot say enough about the excellent customer service from Eagle Optics. It was amazing!
On the "con" side I'm not sure how well these are made. This order was to replace a set purchased a few months ago that fell apart. I will see how this pair holds up. If they do not hold up I will not re-purchase.
Cannot however say enough about the excellent CS from Eagle Optics.

These fit two of my binos, Kowa Genesis 10x33 and an older Browning 8x32.Recommended.

I ordered the wrong size of lens covers and Eagle Optics promptly processed my exchange for the correct size. I've used these lens covers for years and am totally satisfied with them. This latest order was to replace one that had broken after years of use.
Work Well with Nikon Monarch 8x36 and 10x36
Jerry from South Carolina
These soft rubber tethered covers work perfectly with Nikon mid-sized Monarchs. The covers fit just tightly enough over the objective lenses so they stay in place, but they are easily removed for use of the binoculars. They never get in the way of the view. In fact, you don't really notice them. Perfect.

These fit our Nikon Monarch 8x36 beautifully
Works on Canon 10x30 IS binocs
Marion from Oklahoma
Our Canon 10x30 image stabilization binocs came with NO cover for the objective lenses. Canon's logic as I understand it is that because the objectives are somewhat recessed, a cover is not required. WRONG. Eagle Optics suggested these as a not-perfect-fit-but-best-there-is solution and we're pleased with the results.
But I must add that after 4-5 months of use, the rubber cracked and the tethers broke. However, Eagle Optics quickly replaced them upon request, and even sent a second pair as backup.
Better Than Original Equipment
Randy from Cedar Falls, IA
I managed to lose my original objective caps on my favorite all-around binocular, a Swift Eaglet 7x36. The small (44mm) Eagle Optics Tethered Binocular Lens Cover Set was a perfect fit. I wish I had had this set when I was caught in a heavy thunderstorm while biking several days ago; I would not have splashed water all over the objective lenses! I measured the outside of an objective barrel with a vernier caliper to be reasonably sure of the fit. These covers are the same as found on the Eagle Optics Ranger SRT 6x32 Binocular.
