North Dakota: Potholes and Prairie Birding Festival

2009 Potholes & Prairie Birding Festival by Jerry Schmidt

Birding as you've never experienced it

Here's your chance to spend four days in the open meadows and lively wetlands of some of the world's most remote birding hotspots. Eagle Optics is pleased to help sponsor the Potholes and Prairie Birding Festival in North Dakota, where you'll enjoy guided tours, hands-on workshops, wonderful people, distinctive culture, and the wild country of North Dakota.

Birding Drives Dakota takes you to Prairie Potholes

Birding Drives Dakota is a unique coalition of communities working in concert with four of North Dakota's 62 wildlife refuges to bring you a network of birding trails—known as "birding drives" to the folks in North Dakota. Take a trip into the heart of the Prairie Pothole Region where you can enjoy the richness of the area with birds like Baird's, LeConte's and Nelson's Sharptail Sparrows, Chestnut Collared Longspurs and other wildlife.
